Big Barn don't actually supply boxes: they just provide maps and links to people who do.

    My sister uses these: http://www.rivernene.co.uk

I'd definitely use them if they delivered to my area as the quality is consistently very good. Unfortunately I'm out of their catchment area.

I've used these in the past: http://www.flightsorchardorganics.co.uk/
and they were a bit hit and miss, quality wise, so we stopped them. That was a while ago so they may well have improved.

I'm about to try these: http://www.goodbehere.co.uk
and will let you know what they are like.

You can enter your postcode to see if and when they deliver in your area.

You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.

Oi you lot - please :heart:GIVE BLOOD  - you never know when you and yours might need it back! 67 pints so far.
  • I use River Nene - the price is excellent and the variety brilliant. They also send recipes each month to accompany the veggies in the box.

    Always good quality and fresh!

  • Hi there, I use Riverford Organics, www.riverford.co.uk. They deliver for free to most of the country and although they're not local (other than to people in Devon!) the quality of the veg is amazing, they're extremely environmentally conscious, very friendly and the prices are definitely the most competitive I've come across. They also give you a little info pack when you 1st order a box and tell you all about how the veg is grown and what they use instead of pesticides. There's also loads of info on their website about every type of veg they grow and how to use the bits you'd normally throw away, to reduce waste. I think theyre fab!!

Hiya, we're in Lancashire too, having moved from Devon (v near Riverford) and found a scheme in Mossley which prob doesn't go as far as Wigan, but we found them on http://www.vegboxschemes.co.uk/ You type in your postcode and it comes up with some options.

I have to say even for locals, I found Riverford to be a bit expensive... we now get a £10 box with a lot more in it than we got in a more expensive Riverford box.

    Good luck!
