    Tell me this...

Why do normal people not become politicians....is it a genetic abnormality that predisposes muppets to become MLAs, MPs and MEPs????? or in Iris and Peter's cases all three together!!!!

Personally I abhor politics, unless in the house with a cup of tea and a willing ear and I can sort out this country's problems before I get down to the dregs!!!:rotfl:

I agree, not one politician I have ever met, seems welcoming and forthcoming. Infact, even the political assistants I have had the displeasure of dealing with have all the inherent traits of 30 years of 'war' inbred into them.

I'd like a party (not the alliance) that actually wants to make a difference to the community, not hold it back because it doesnt want to agree with the other side!

Now all I need is a constituency

You can't beat Billy Connolly on this one- "the very desire to run for office should bar you for life from ever running". :D I'm staying out of the Norn Iron/Northern Ireland/NI question though, on account of being a Scottish immigrant!!

    • No Water Rates
    • Weekly Bin Collections
    • Free NHS and Dentistry for all

I feel i should run for local government and any other election going.

Which names do you think I should use:

Say NO to Norn Iron Party,
    The Northern Ireland Correctional Party,
The Raving Northern Irish/Norn Iron/Thuaidh Ireann(last bit for those who are nationalist orientated) or for the Ulster Scots "Tha Boord o Ulster-Scotch" Party.
    Hug the World Party.
or last but not Least " The Iris Robinson Appreciation Party"
almost forgot What about "The Stag Party" :D

I vote for the Hug the World Party. I could do with someone knocking the door with a nice hug for me some days!
