Jeepers peepys i pop out for a wee drinky and come back to three pages!!! So much sound advice on there and thanks so much for all your support, BB in particular as i know you are going through some tough tiomes yourself right now, hope you are feeling better.
will get susan jeffers from the library tyo start and then purchase if i get on with it!!
Len and others that is the truth, what do i want? fairly simple really to be debt free, be happy and be content with my lot, oh and to be appreciated by my employers and the person i am with. Lots of soul searching being done right now!!
Merlot, thanks for your input here, that meant alot. you are always there with advice for the newbies so the offer of assistance is gratefully appreciated!!
Z, I think (hope) that you know the answers to those questions, but why am i holding myself back so much? lack of belief in myself and other peoples lack of belief in me i guess. what do i fear? loosing the people that i am close to and the old "told you so" that i hear so often. what consequences are around the corner? i don't know, and thats what i lack courage in. walking around the corner for fear of there being something bad there....
Had to laugh at the jaffas and redbull... thats made my mind up for me.. IF NO JAFFAS OR REDBULL I AIN'T GOING!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
Hi Pania
Just popping in to say that I wish you the best of luck in your new opportunity & new life.
Re the O/H situation - I've been thereso I know how hard it is to really break free & venture in to the unknown alone. BUT it will be so worth it because now you have a whole world of possibilities & potential ahead of you. Yeh, sometimes it's scary but enjoy each moment & keep reminding yourself that you're a shiny new person now & exciting times are what you deserve
very best wishes

Wow, what a lot of decisions you have to make! What sort of work is it in Malaysia? Mortgages and stuff, or something totally different? If it's a good job and if you think you'd enjoy the way of life then go for it. You can always come back if it doesn't work out, whereas you won't always have the opportunity to go if you turn the job down (assuming you get it, which I'm SURE you will!). I've got a friend who moved to China (coz China and Malaysia are sort of the same place, right?!) and he absolutely loves it out there, says it's the best thing he ever did.
Anyway, I just thought I'd say hello as I'm a sucker for a new diary. I'm sure you'll do whatever's best, everything happens for a reason and all that.0 -
Hallo P:hello: nice new diary0

Cooeee, this really got going fast! P, I'm rooting for Malaysia.... you said about OH sort of dropping away if you get it, and you don't sound happy that you let him back in, I'm concerned for you about that.
I hope you find the life you want to live, Pania. Keep going!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Happy new diary sweetie
I'm sure I've said this to you before -but I'm gonna say it again
We only regret the things we didn't do
You deserve to be appreciated-both by a partner (and your OH doesn't appear to understand the meaning of the word partnership) and by your employer-so go for it ! Both need new improved models.

thankyou for the kind words Pania xxx
The weird thing is, I look back now and think -wow - how did I have the courage to do it? I didn't even think twice about saying to my now ex OH I'd been offered this amazing opportunity! He was very supportive and as flights went from Bournemouth it was possible to pop back every so often. I used to come back for a weekend every 6 weeks or so. Sad really that I've lost the confidence, when I left Dublin I was actively looking at staying with the company and going out to St Lucia or St Kitts where there are offices but sadly nothing came up.
Do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it,............:rotfl:"Stay Wonky":D

Hi Pania - just seen the new diary. Well done you for standing up to tosserboss. I'm sure most people would have just crumbled. How exciting to have the opportunity to go to Malaysia - fingers crossed you'll get it. I don't know anyone who's regretted taking work overseas. It doesn't have to be forever but will give you a whole new perspective on life.
Good luck with it all.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Morning Pania, just wanted to say, you only get one shot at life, take the chances you are offered hun, if it doesn't work out at least you gave it a shot and won't spend the rest of your life wondering 'what if'?

Morning Pania
I am a terrible reader not poster but I had to write to say good luck. I know Malaysia really well and love it, the easiest Asian country in the world and you can definitely get Jaffas and Red Bull. I really hope you get the job, if you want to know more about Malaysia drop me a pm. Good to see you back.0
