Morning - stop hiding from us.

FWIT I think you have made the right decision - but it's your decision!

    PLan B looks good.....

Plan B does look very good :D

re Plan A, have they not come back with an improved offer? I find it very hard to believe that you had to pay for your flight. Popeye couldn't have gone if we'd had to pay anything upfront. :o And they flew me out too to choose his house :D

olive i wouldn't lie hon. they wanted us to pay for it upfront and have it reimbursed after 3 months if we passed our probation. I sent a long e-mail explaining about finances etc and al i got back was "ok, thanks for letting me know." the salary appears to be standard across the board for everyone and if they are taking lots of people on a big recruitment drive i guess they'd want us all at the same salary.

  Pania, I didn't mean to imply that you were lying, I was trying to be sympathetic :o

We couldn't do what we've done if our hands hadn't been held financially speaking. So I struggle to imagine a company that doesn't recognise that position.

no worries hon,:) i couldn't understand it either. they wanted me there like yesterday and didn't reveal the fact that we had to pay for the flight until they offered the job. Had i have known salary flight etc first i would've known it wasn't going to work and not gone down to london for the interview. Mind it was still good practice and has boosted my ego to know that i was able to acheive an offer there.
Jinky more than happy to help with dog training as and when litle one arrives. what sort of dog are you getting? xx

Hi Pania, sounds like you made the right decision. I have friends who have to go on business travel out to Malaysia and they say cooking is a no-no out there and its cheaper to eat out but it all mounts up. My friend took ill when she was out there and couldn't attend a function and they took the nip with her. Its a big expense moving to another country too (I've done it in the past then came home again), not just flights but all the little things (which I'm sure you took into account).

Go for the dog training course. I'm jealous :p , I wanted to do the dog training course when I was younger but didn't get the chance. Go for it. I'm sure you'll do great. :D

    Hi P,

Definitely sounds like you made the right decision, pretty poor expecting you to pay for flight, social events etc so you wouldn't be clearing your debts.

Well done on going to the interview and being offered it.
