personally i find when you buy tesco's own brand or their value range they work out cheaper than asda
i dont shop at lidls or aldis because a lot of their food is foreign and my son has a serious nut allergy foods from foreign countries dont legally have to list their ingredients or put whether they come into contact with nut products
plus clubcard points of courseExtra payment every week challenge £15 so far

Depends what you are buying really. I use home delivery anyway, and have used Asda the last couple opf times as Tesco won't let me log on even with my correct details.
I would wonder 'why?' more about people still buying food at M&SMember no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

i think you should try it. most of the food is actually from uk companies, the company is german i think but this helps keep costs down if the produce is from the country its sold in. my tinned and bottled stuff from aldi is english, so was their meat.A happy wife, and mum to 2 lovely little boys :j0 -

We have Tesco, Coop, Lidl and small local shops. Nearest big Tesco is on the mainland (boat and car journey away), nearest Asda is Aberdeen (also boat journey away), nearest Morrys' (small) is Invergordon (car/boat again) and am not sure about Sainsbugs.
So I shop in Tesco, Lidl, Coop and local, depending on what we need and what offers are on. I do collect clubcard points and get a lot of value flour etc.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Asda is 1 mile away, tesco is 5 but we still do our big shop in Tesco, the store is better laid out, less chance of finding things out of date (our Asda is terrible for not removing goods that are past sell by), more space to move about more selection, clubcard points, infact where I live we have a Lidl, Spar and an Asda all 1 mile away and we only use them for odd items we know are cheaper or for day to day stuff we need0

I dont care where I shop, but for quality its:
1 M&S
2 Sainsburies
3 Tescos
4 Asda
I shop for convenience rather than sticking to 1 supermarket.Living the good life spending all my money but loving it!!0 -
Because I got a 2 week family holiday to egypt for nothing with clubcard deals and its the only big supermarket near me."Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0

Why are council house people scum? dont really like the tone of that, little bit insulting .Everyone has to eat, I live in a council house and have shopped at Sainsburys many times without anyone looking down their nose at me,I also shop in Next and M&S at times and have never had a problem, surely my money is as good as anyone elses.I thought this was supposed to be a class less society, obviously not.Do they allow ethnic minorites and different religons in there,or is it just you that puts up these boundries?0
