I’ve got an Old Style day off today so I’ve been doing a bit of Old Style Couch Potatoing – my Old Style Sofa is really, really, wonderful and the Old Style TV Remote Control is one of my favourite thingys after the Slow Cooker and Bread Maker…
…. Gosh….must stop this Old Style day dreaming and get on with all the jobs that need doing…..

  Taplady's going dancing in her swimsuit!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. Only woke up an hour ago!
Been put on anti-depressants and they knock me out for about 12 hours a time
So completely ruined my day really - cos its half over!!! But just checked and sainsburys is open till 10pm.. so popping there for some shopping... ok its a longer walk than kwik save but its nicer in there with more choice - and last time i went some GREAT reductions! Also their "basic" range is about the same as Tesco and Asda and seen as i only need a bit due to a stocked store cupboard.. i thought id treat myself! Paying on my credit card - BUT thats cos im in credit on it! :j :j :j (due to a refund on jeans last that i bought 2 months ago - then felt guilty about... but when they arrived they were faulty so got a refund - and now no guilt!
)
Dont know what im doing tonight.. maybe watch some tv or do some card making or christmas planning. Have to see where the rest of the day takes me0 -

mega chuffed this morning, have spoke to my housing assoiciation and nearly at the top of the list for a house. At the momment there are 5 of us in a 2 bed 1st floor flat and with 3 kids is rather cramped.
I can't wait to have a garden, with chickens and be able to grow my own frui and veg.
Well done on getting to the top of the housing list.
Don't mean to be a doom and gloom merchant but I have a feeling that you will not be allowed to keep chickens. I am not and I have bought my own house.
Only allowed to keep rabbits, cats and dogs as pets. As these as classed as domestic animals. So will need to check terms and conditions.
Yours

I so wish we were nearer the top of the list. (We're about 125th!, means a 7yr wait!)
Theres 6 of us in a tiny 2-bed house, but I should be grateful for a house and a garden I suppose. Mind you, its difficult to be grateful when you want 10mins to yourself and the only place to go is the car.....
I'm grumpy now cos I'm jealous......
Anyway. Anyone want a FREE weekend away??? Thought I would post here first cos I like you guys! At the Travellodge in Winchester this Saturday and Sunday night - 2 Family rooms (RO). We were going to take the kids away, but not now. PM me if you fancy it. Will post it on another board later this evening.
Did my Malt loaf. Its okay. Forgot to add the sultanas though...... OH says its okay. But he hasn't eaten much of it.....
Dinner today is Chicken Fajitas - cos I love those! I prefer my HM ones to Nandos and I Lurrrrrvve Nandos. :j
Will be making an effort to finish tidying the garden this weekend now - all depends on the weather though.
My "boss" has offered me a proper job. At least its more security that self employed and I can increase my hours so effectively earn more money - so I said yes. But, it does mean that I go from weekly pay to monthly pay! In December I will earn nothing (or rather be paid nothing) until the end of the month. So I have 4 weeks to save some money and finish the Xmas Shopping. Going to have a mega Ebay listing session tonight (on the Lister) and upload over tomorrow.0 -
Just having a quick read through these before heading to bed. Waiting forDH to get home so I can retire with a hot water bottle and my duvet. Have been downing ibuprofen all day with no discernable effect so have decided to sleep this lurgy off.
Achy all over so think its flu-sod it. I havent been sick in ages but have been running on overdrive and in a state of constant sleep depravation since having the first of the kids in '02 so suppose a rest is about due
Might have some of my HM vegie soup first to warm me up and soothe the throat.YUM.
Enjoy your weekends everybody.

nicki wrote:That means that the back door has been unlocked except for ONE bolt for I don't know how long :eek::eek: Worrying thing is I can't remember when I last went out the back door - I think it might have been Tuesday which would mean that I went out and spent a whole day in town on Wednesday while the back door was unlocked :eek::eek:
Silly noggin! :rotfl: Almost as bad as me going out for a NIGHT in town... waking up the next day to find my back door unlocked and not even bolted! Anyone COULD have just pushed down on the handle....And (as you know nicki)...i dont live in the "nicest" area (locals call it "beriut on a bad day" ) Then theres the 2 occasions ive left my keys in lock in the front door on the outside for hours and hours    Only realising when i was running round like a mad woman looking for them to lock up before bed :rolleyes:So dont feel TOO bad nicki.. im the doziest sister :rotfl:

DH is just off to cook tea whilst I get the youngest to bed and DS has gone to scouts. We are having Aberdeen Angus rump steak tonight courtesy of Asda reduced counter
I also got a £2 gift card because they'd overcharged me for some chicken
I am not very amused though as I picked up a CD walkman for my son's birthday as a cheapie present from his little sister. I thought it was brilliantly priced at £4.97 but when I checked my receipt when I got home I'd been charged £7.87 for it. Do I have to take it back the same day to get it put right as I was so tired when I got home that I couldn't be bothered to go back again?Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
