I am disgusted to have had an email off DooYoo this morning in a very accusatory tone; I had a certain user accuse me of "revenge rating", god how old are we? And this is someone who I had reported to DooYoo and actually blocked because he was seding me abusive and threatning messages trying to make me change my rating. It's sick. I am SO angry.

I got the same thing about a few months ago and it happened to be a mod who was rating mine after I rated hers as okay, I was so angry that I had been reported, I knew it was her as she left a nasty email in my inbox so I wrote to Dooyou as she was leaving nasty comments on my reviews as well, a few days later I noticed all her comments had been deleted from my reviews.

Just be thankful you don't belong to Ciao. This kind of thing goes on ALL the time over there and you'd probably have your account shut down by now.

All I can suggest is that you email Dooyoo back and explain the situation. Give details (dates, usernames etc.) and let them sort it out. If you want me to contact Dooyoo on your behalf, PM the details and I'll forward them on.

CF is right - dooyoo are MUCH fairer about this than Ciao.

I must confess, I'm never sure why anyone really complains about so called "revenge rating" - the reads still pay and, ultimately, the rate is unlikely to affect the overall rating of a piece. People do get their knickers in a twist over it though.

Dooyoo will sort things out amicably wherever possible so, as CF says, let dooyoo know the details (or take CF up on his offer, or any of the guides that you feel are approachable).

If anyone is getting inappropriate comments from a guide then let dooyoo know. I know we've ALL fired off a few choice words in anger but if this kind of thing is going on on a regular basis then dooyoo need to know. It's no advert for a great site if those charged with a bit of extra responsibility don't act appropriately. Likewise, don't be bullied by other members. If there's a real issue - report it. Otherwise, water off a duck's back!

Having said all that, I wouldn't bother reporting just for the sake of it - it's like crying wolf and that's the kind of thing that put Ciao in the state it is now. They got sick of the reports and so got the booting stick out instead. A truely disproportionate response but there you go.

I am surprised if a Guide is bothered by your ratings and unless it is obvious revenge rating I am surprised they bothered reporting it. As others have said if you feel you have been poorly treated dooyoo are quite receptive particularly if you state your grievance through a guide.

Hah! I'm not. Being a guide doesn't stop people from being !!!!!!. Those who toss don't necessarily stop upon being appointed guide status. One of the current set of guides (I'm not telling you who it is) has asked that I no longer rate their work and that they'd avoid mine. A guide in the past came and had a good rant on a third party website due to an SU I'd given out. Another more recent-ish guide who made no secret of their dislike for me, has left at least one dubious rate on a review. You have to laugh, really.

Most guides are, however, fantastic, sensible and approachable. I heartily recommend getting to know people like cmh and mattygroves. I cannot, with hand on heart, recommend barongreenback as he is an Everton supporter. :mad: Sorry.

Maybe I should not have said surprised, more disappointed. Guides can be rash, impatient and even rude on occasion but most of us can realise this virtually early on. And ignore Freddy. I am not a Guide anymore but my credentials are nothing short of superb:rotfl:

Didn't realise you were a Blue, Silas??? Still, I suppose no-one's perfect!!!

I'm just going to try and get a quick MS report done before the match, looks like I will miss the pre-match build up though.

To be fair, the least shoite team won. And that was a rather splendid goal by the boy Gosling to cap a really dull affair.

Heads are going to roll at ITV though. And possibly the FA. Football coverage should be a "value for money" affair. It's not just those that pay most that should get it... but rather those than can pay coupled with quality of broadcast. (In which case ITV wouldn't get football for at least a decade. :T)
