Isn't that the whole point of MSE: Consumer Revenge0 -

Nope, Consumer Revenge isn't applicable here - what have dooyoo done to deserve "revenge"?
And as for screwing dooyoo for every penny they have........that really doesn't seem to be the right attitude. By all means see it as a way of earning a bit of extra money, but "screwing dooyoo" and "consumer revenge" don't sit comfortably in this case.
We are lucky that dooyoo offer ££ in return for reviews, this shouldn't be abused or else it will be withdrawn and no-one will benefit in the future.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. No. The first part is fact.
And in the second part, IMO means "in my opinion". :rolleyes:0 -

It's scum like you that's ruining it for the rest of us.
Even with regards to other sites, not Dooyoo, I really don't think the spirit of MSE is to screw ANY site, be it consumer revenge or anything else, just make sure the consumer gets a fair deal/fairly treated.0 -

I am not even talking about how these people rate MY reviews, but their ratings on other reviews I have read, including crowned ones.
As for guides offering advice remember that they have a right to an opinion too - and so long as the advice is constructive then try to accept it and not dwell on it. If a guide chooses to be rude and unhelpful, then that's another matter of course.
I do find myself more and more often rating reviews lower than other raters have. Sometimes I leave reasons why, but more often I don't.
My rating is just an opinion of how useful I find a review to be, and how useful I think an actual consumer looking to actually use the product or service will find it. But it is only a opinion. If I put reasons down every time, it could cause people to think that I'm offering a recipe for a very good review, or a crownworthy review, or a useful review. I'm not. I'm expressing a view as to how useful *I* think the review is.
I find it REALLY distracting to read reviews with a lot of errors, such as 'i' for 'I' or consistent and regular misspelling and typos. If there are enough of these, that does affect how useful I find the review. However, I wouldn't necessarily comment (though sometimes I do) on that - without a 'tone of voice' it can sound a bit like a maiden teacher!
Some reviewers don't want feedback, especially if it's critical. They feel threatened and offended by it (I've had the 'well, what do you know, your stoopid' type messages).
Mostly, though, I don't want reviewers to think that I have a direct line to the ultimate knowledge of what makes a perfect review, or that my opinion comes from on high - from the powers that be at dooyoo. They don't. Even when I nominate a review, it's still up to the powers that be to crown it (or not).
As has been discussed here, there are guides (and members) who tend to be more vocal on what they want to see in a review, and can make it sound like they know what's what. They don't - any more than I do. Also, it may again be a case of 'tone of voice' - people coming across in text more abrubt or pedantic than they mean to.
If anyone genuinely wants feedback from me (or any other guide), just (politely) ask - we will be more than happy to throw in our tuppence!
You may have already noticed that about us - we have opinions and we're not afraid to wield them!

MSE seems split into two types of people. Those who want to scam businesses out of everything they can get and are just interested in making money by whatever means necessary and those who want a fair deal and an honest way to make some extra money. Fortunately, the latter are far more common but it does make me despair when people talk about consumer revenge when they have nothing to "avenge"!
Take dooyoo. What have they done to make you want to screw them over? Provided you with a decent hobby were you can earn extra money and meet people? God forbid. Let us screw them for everything they have then!
Hypno talks perfect sense, abuse a system and the rewards will be removed. Look at how many small companies free sample are withdrawn thanks to "overwhelming demand".0 -
I don't think this websites tagline "UK CONSUMER REVENGE" helps new folk get into the right mindset.0

All those MSE members have made Dooyoo extra fun, I enjoy finding the abusers and reporting them knowing that they will get nothing as all the miles are taken away plus the ones they gave their clicking cartel friends.0 -
lol, cheers for that guys, i was just kidding here, look at my reviews they may not be worthy of a crown but there not 150 words. (Dooyoo Name: Direwolf) So go ahead report me, say im only doing Dooyoo for the extra bit of cash, i dont care, i know they wont exclude me and i will happily tell them i only review for them for the cash, i couldnt give two *beep* about the company.
Seriously guys like you you take things so seriously are the cause of all the arguments within the Dooyoo community. I bet the majority of people that make the reviews on Dooyoo are like me, they write decent reviews and expect something in return, end of.
In my opinioin though if people want to comment on our reviews on how when we reviewed a packet of toilet roll we didnt quite fully explain in great detail how the tissue felt against our !!!, well then let them, as long as i get paid i dont care.0 -
I admire your honesty good Sir.0
