Hope that helps.
Thanks Matty,
I certainly didnt mean to sound confrontational, though having read my first post I'm sure I did.
I'm fine with 2 checks then0 -
I received my first £50 cheque from dooyoo this week - very prompt and I am very impressed with their speed of payment :T So far I cannot fault them - they have been helpful when I have raised queries, and I find myself spending more and more time on their site...........:oSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. I wouldnt be so impatient if it wasnt for this item going in and out of stock on the market place, literally 3 new people are selling it today (at a reasonable price) and 4 have been sold.0 -
Look at it this way direwolf, if you do a job, unless it's cash in hand, you get paid in arrears, usually monthly. This is really not that different. You might have earmarked the earnings, you might be frustrated that the item you want appears to be low stock, but that's not dooyoo's fault. Dooyoo have consistently been one of the most reliable payers and they're very good at sorting out issues when they exist. As Scuba said, in those circumstances is it really ripe for complaint?
It doesn't appear, from what you say, that even the initial estimate for the delivery of the voucher has expired yet. Calm down! He who wants never gets (as my mum used to say!)0 -

But then equally there seem to be some really prolific reviewers basically listing what the ingredients are in a shower gel and repeating the TV advert... If I wanted to know that I'd look on the manufacturers website.
I thought reviews were supposed to be opinions, not just lists of stuff.
The other one that amused me yesterday was someone reviewed a West End stage show, and they basically just said what happened in each act. Now what I want to know is, which actors you saw, was the acting good, were the props good, was the interpretation believable, was the bar expensive in the theatre...0 -

It's true. The art of opinion seems to be rapidly disappearing. It's not helped by the fact that people seem to think they have to rate everything over 100 words as very useful for fear of not being read back. If folks who thought that a piece was lacking in opinion actually said so and rated correctly writers might just sit up and listen.
Similarly, the theatre example, it might be long but if it doesn't help you and doesn't answer the questionsyou have then it must be rated down.
Dooyoo can be an excellent resource if folks are true to peer review and write and rate correctly.

Im not blaming Dooyoo nor am i getting frustrated, also from my initial question i think i stated that i only orderd the vouchers yesterday.
What i was trying to ask was that, anyone who has ordered vouchers from Dooyoo, on average, how long does it take? (which nobody has said yet)
If i had a problem with Dooyoo, i would rather tell them rather than you guys.
Anyway to this discussion of reviews are about opinions well in my opinion people are writing all these facts like listing the indgredients of shampoo because if they dont and they just write their opinion they may not have such a big word count and picky people might feel it does not deserve a very good rating.
Im sorry there just isnt really much to say about shampoo, any many other items for that matter.0 -

After writing the above post, I went and looked at my dooyoo account, and found someone had written a comment about one of my reviews yesterday. I reviewed a London attraction, and wrote about what I thought were the best bits, how good the staff were, how lifelike it all was and how I thought it was the best attraction in London along with a tip about booking in advance. I got a comment saying "IT's a good start, but you need to list the location, admission prices etc". And I though, well, the location is LONDON - do I really need to write the street when it can be found easy enough, and the admission prices change depending on the time of day, the season, if you book in advance or whatever. So not really much point in listing that.
I dunno, makes you wonder if it's worth doing if people are going to say things like that. I mean, everyone can use google to find out opening times. And I think there is even a link to the official website from the information page on dooyoo.
Grrr.

Charlie, you'll never please everyone, so there's no point in trying.
I had someone have a go at me because I didn't like the actor in a film and they did, as if I HAD to like them just because the majority of people do.
As long as its useful for most people then its a good review, there'll always be the odd person who is awkward for the sake of it.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0 -

Seriously? How silly. I sometimes wonder about the people who are out there...
(BTW, I feel better now I've had a moan. =D)0
