Arggh is nowhere sacred! I stoped using Myspace and MSN because of all the nutters asking for photos and wanting to 'take our relationship further' (hmm hard that when you've never heard of them before :rotfl:). Now I've just had a PM on Dooyoo asking for my email, so I can get some photos and move on from there
asl?
Only joking... it's not a problem I've ever had on any site. Then again, my profile picture does tend to put off strangers.
The Baron's correct... you can report the member to Dooyoo if you want.0 -
If they persist I will, I just found it amusing that even on a review site there are these desperate people.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0

hi, please don't jump down my throat - some of you are quite scary lol. I joined in September and have just reached 50000 miles - no I am not in this purely to make a buck - and yes my earliest reviews were awful! - I'm getting into the swing of it a bit now, but I dont want to redeem miles - to be told my account is closed or something because some of my earlier reviews were bad.
Should I contact dooyoo and ask them to delete any sub standard reviews or re-do them
Any help appreciated0 -

Your choice really. If you want to redo them that is fine. Remember they are only below standards if they are illegible, plagiarised or contain less than 150 words of opinion. If they are just not as good as your newer ones then you will be ok. Drop one of us or even better a Guide a line if you want anyone to have a look for you.0 -
thanks - have sent pm
I am now a little concerned - sometimes I add extra facts - such as with my body shop reviews - about where the ingredients come from, I don't know everything lol, so I went to the body shop website, checked the facts I wanted to add - such as where they are sourcing their Shea butter from , added to my review what i though was helpful, then carried on - is this copying?0 -

It depends - did you just copy and paste the information without attributing it? If so, yes. If you said 'the Body Shop's website tells me their shea butter is sourced from...' you're probably ok.
To be fair, you'd often be better just referring the reader to the website, rather than quoting (even attributed) from the website wholesale - the consumer is more interested in what you think of the product - did you like the smell? Did it do what it said on the tin? Was it expensive for what it was? ... rather than facts they can read themselves from the website.
I'm a guide - if you'd like me to have a look, drop me a pm.

I've had the same problem...and my picture is of Wednesday Adams. I'm just ignoring it.0 -

Given that there are now two of you that have been approached (even if it's two different people), I'd be tempted to report it to Dooyoo in case there are more out there that have similar messages and don't know what to do. Report them to Dooyoo or a Guide and let the Dooyoo staff take action if necessary.0 -

I too got the same message, worded in the same way on the same day - strange!0 -
That qualifies as spam and, even if the message wasn't pervy, Dooyoo don't want their PM system used for spam. I assume these messages are all from the same member. If you want to PM me the detail I can pass this issue on to Dooyoo... otherwise you can contact them yourselves.0
