DooYoo - Get Paid to Write Reviews Online

Nope, that's 1.5 rates for every one you receive (approximately). That's quite good going in my book. Just keep it up and make sure you're still achieving that when you've gotten 1000 reads or higher!
Success on Dooyoo, in terms of reads, is unfortunately not entirely to do with writing skill. There are some amazing writers that only get 20 -30 reads per review and some really poor writers that get 70 - 80. The better writers tend to offset this shortfall with Crowns though.
That's why you see some people try to buck the system and always rate VU or leave pithy comments that say "great op!" or "nommed!" to try and become popular. Don't be afraid to give out the low ratings if a review doesn't tell you what you want to know or is factually inaccurate. Don't be concerned that specific people aren't reading your reviews... as long as you read around the site, you'll get read/rates back. Dooyoo, as some people seem to think, isn't a rates swapping club. Why should I, as an example, read a review on female toiletries that I have no interest in, just to "return a read"? The answer is that I shouldn't, so I don't. I read on topics that interest me, both personally and as a potential consumer, so the site stays fresh for me in terms of reading and I don't feel obliged to just read everything.
In all honesty, some of the "advice" in this thread is scarily poor and I'm appalled to see that more people have been thanked in this thread for telling us they've gotten a cheque/vouchers than some of the guides have for actually giving out proper advice. If you have any questions, talk to a guide directly. They'll help you out. The ones you see on this thread - matty, cmh, greenback are all really helpful. Try one of the review site forums too (there's a post at the start of this thread listing them) where you'll also get better advice... they're set up to help other members, not focus on making money, but to be honest, they do require some new blood.0 -
Camp_Freddy wrote: »Isn't that a very pessimistic attitude to have, though? I've been writing on multiple sites for years and not once have I even thought about specifying in a review that it is posted elsewhere and no-one's ever accused me of copying. Your profile is about you, you review is about the item/service being reviewed.
As stated above... non-members aren't worried about whether you've posted a review elsewhere. They're concerned about the accuracy of your review and its content regarding said item/service, not whether you're a member elsewhere.
It's also worth nothing that some members, including myself, will mark down for off-topic or unnecessary community references. Some will do it at the drop of a hat, some will require the references to be substantial. Those that are more than capable of spotting copiers will check a member's profile before making a report to Dooyoo, so it's not as if it will go unchecked. Additionally, from a practical point of view, if you have it in your profile, that's one thing to update should you have reviews deleted from any site. Add it to each review and you'll have to update them individually.
As I said it's a good job we're all different isn't it, and each entitled to our own opinion. I will keep doing it my way, and you yours.0 -

Fair enough... but including that off-topic blurb in a review will not put off dedicated members if they are suspicious. As barongreenback says above, you have to treat reviews with a bit of scepticism, so having any kind of disclaimer means nothing until people verify the veracity of your claims for themselves then, as mattygroves says, the disclaimer itself becomes pointless because these people will end up trusting you... or not. You're not actually saving anyone any time and there have been plenty of copiers in the past that have tried to claim they write elsewhere.0 -
I have recieved my first crown today!!! :j :j

I'm really miffed with a certain member on there... I went onto new reviews, and found a couple of reviews by a member that I thought were lacking in content, so i rated them accordingly and left a constructive comment after rating each one, saying why i thought it wasnt up to scratch... And she [im guessing its a she] went and rated my reviews "usefull" when everyone else has rated them "very useful"...
I know its not a great difference, but come on... There's no need to be petty is there?
I put a lot of effort into my reviews, making sure to cover every point/aspect, and her reviews lack a lot of things, and to top it all, theyre very poor English, I could barely decifer any of them. Not to mention writing 14 reviews in the space of a couple of days... 11 of them today!

Urgh.
Yep i've seen her, oh well she's giving you readings and it's not affected your review rating so don't worry, she won't last long - every single one of her reviews is rated SU or NU0 -
How long does the "new member" stay under my avatar for?0

Thanks for the encouragment Beenie
Who are you on there?
I was looking at what she's giving people as ratings:
Very useful 3
Useful 38
Somewhat useful 24
Not useful 9
Sounds like a case of jealousy syndrome. I hope no one else here has had her rate your reviews less than you deserve!March 2016 - Barclay Card: £7,213.820 -

You can always report her to a guide, it's basically revenge rating.
Aren't those the stats of what people have rated hers? Her reviews are pap
I'll message you on DY as i wouldn't want people to think we're whoring for ratings.0 -
I wrrote my best ever review yesterday and hardly anyone has viewed it. It was also a product i suggested, which was promptly added. I guess some things don't interest people much (kids toys).0
