Hi,
Does anyone know anything about ClickShop.com. I ordered 3 identical items off them via their website. One turned up, the other two haven't. I paid with a debit card.
I emailed them had two responses to say the items would be despatched asap, susbsequent emails haven't been answered.
Their registered office is in Cardiff (114 Ninian Park Road) so I went there today and it's a boarded up newsagents or something like that. I've tried searching the internet for a different address, and although the website says it's operated by a limited company they're not listed at Companies House. Is that legal? A search for Clickshop.com as a non limited company found them at the same address.
If anyone can help in finding out what's happened or an alternative address or contact details I'd appreciate it.
Thanks
Nick

I placed an order from Clickshop.com on 04/02/09 by 1st class recorded delivery. After 4 days and nothing, I emailed and received a reply, apologising, said there had been a problem (didn't say what) but I should get my order in the next couple of days....and they would refund by postage. Now 22/02/09.....and nothing and now don'treply to emails either. When I checked their reviews, it appears they have posted nothing since mid December 2008 but they are still taking orders. Order from them if you really don't want to see your product or money again....they must be raking it in. I have reported them to Trading Standards....hope they can act in some way but it appears they have no premises according to one reviewer went to their address. I hope Sef can sleep well at night!0

they are hiding their ownership under the hosts privacy option, hence the USA address
Protx do their payment processing , their support is open today

voice your concerns about the boarded up shop , also mention that this says they are NOT uk based

Hi,
Thought I'd add my 4 penny worth.
Like others I ordered an item from Clickshop. It didn't turn up so I asked for a refund. A refund was promised but that hasn't turned up either so I contacted my credit card company who will be arranging for a refund and, FYI, will be reclaiming the refund back from Clickshop's bank together with a charge for doing this.
My advice...
Continue to harrass Clickshop and if that doesn't resolve it go to your credit card company.
My next steps...
Contact Trading Standards to report the company as dodgy.

Found this thread very useful when I started to have problems with Clickshop.com. Originally ordered wine aerator as a gift for a friend in Norway on 02/11/11, realised on 16/11/11 that they had a bug which changed the address to Norway, UK and gave them correct address.. On 06/12/11 after numerous emails they had not responded to, I posted a link to this thread and threatened to report them to Trading Standards, at which point they refunded my money but promised to still send the item as a goodwill gesture. Needless to say the same game has continued up until this point - there is always a problem with the warehouse or stock or distributor. I have just contacted Consumer Direct (customer face of Trading Standards) and. as clickshop.com refunded me within the month, they have not officially done anything wrong. Nevertheless the details of my complaint will be forwarded to Trading Standards, who apparently should do something about it if they receive enough complaints. I don't know what their game is, but I won't be using them again...
UPDATE 27/01/12: Almost immediately after posting this and contacting UK Trading Standards (and letting Clickshop.com knowing I had done this), I received an email from clickshop.com saying my item was being picked, followed by an urgent email from them saying it was most unfortunate that I had complained as the item had just become available for delivery. They asked me to give them another chance and requested that I remove this post immediately if they could then complete the order. I said I would moderate this post IF the item arrived, which it finally has, two days ago... At several points they asked me to take down this post and they also asked me to close the issue with Trading Standards. I have ignored all of these requests. I don't feel I'm being disingenuous by leaving my original post and adding these comments as I still feel the customer service has been incredibly poor. However, I did want to add this note to show that the item was eventually delivered but I feel it was done under duress. Meanwhile I also ordered the same item from a different store so I now have the hassle of trying to return that one...0 -
Hi just like the last lady I too have had a problem with clickshop.com who seem to be a non reputable company based in a terraced house in Cardiff.Have a look at there registered address on google earth.
Similarly I too have reported the company to consumer direct who have reported the incident to Trading standards in Cardiff . Trading standards will only act when there are sufficient claims against the company to warrant an investigation. So if you too are having issues with clickshop.com report them.
The advice I was given was to send a letter by registered or recorded delivery stating that the company was in breach of the distance selling regulations and the sale of goods act and to demand a refund (in that they didn't send the goods) Also as I paid by Visa to contact my bank and request a refund under the visa chargeback scheme.
Hope this helps others. Rogue firms such as this should be closed down0 -
HI all an update on what has happen Sef from clickshop has contacted me and very kindly sent me the goods and apologised for the delay. As a further gesture of good will he has offered to refund my payment
This I am waiting for at the minute I will let you know how I get on. Thanks Sef0 -
Just to say, be careful also that the site you end up on is actually selling the same product you're searching for! In the midst of my issues with clickshop.com I gave up and ordered a Vinturi wine aerator from another shop - except it wasn't Vinturi... I specifically searched for Vinturi wine aerator and landed on a site called justastore.co.uk - their product, which I did not notice on the site, was actually non-branded and they subsequently refused to allow me to return the product. I did notice vinturi in the metadata for their page so think they have managed to trap Vinturi Google searches this way... In future I'll be sticking to well known sites only after all the issues I've had with this one product!0
