I need to get away, I was thing late September.
I want somewhere hot, so thought of Spain which hopefully will be cheap too.
Recommendations I have recvied are:
-Tenerife
-Cadiz
-Malaga
-Benidorm
-Alicante
-Torrevieja
-Mallorca
-Ibiza
I want to experience Spain- the culture as well as and plenty of sun and beach.
Has anyone been to any of these? Any hotel recommendations, would be great if the hotel had a pool and the beach is within wlking distance.

For the same money (or there about) you can go to Florida. With the strong Euro you get more bang for your buck in the USA
Only thing is they have no cultureNothing to see here, move along.0 -
Try Almeria or Alicante
We did two weeks in Almeria in June and spent a few days in the amazing mountains then the rest by the beach in Mojcar and Garrucha.0 -
Hi - I have been to Canaries and Balearics. I preferred the Balearics overall, especially the shorter flight but the Canaries are quite a bit cheaper when you are there.
For example, when visiting the Balearics (as a couple) we allowed £100 (sterling) per day between us (self catering) and usually come back with at least £100.
In the Balearics we used more like £140 per day.
Hope this helps money saving wise

If you have never been to spain before i would recommend mallorca, english spoken in most parts, short flight and plenty to see and do. Also in late september the 18-30 crowd will not be there0

puerto pollensa in mallorca is nice(the old part of mallorca) but if not spain you could consider turkey which is outside the euro (which could be useful in the current climate)Keep the Faith:cool:0

Don't go to Benidorm, Alicante, Torrevieja or Ibiza in late September as their rainy season is from mid-September to mid-October. Or If you do take an umbrella and waterproof shoes for wading through the torrents of water which will be running down the streets.0

Why not consider Valencia? It has a wonderful old centre, fantastic modern architectural developments and super beaches, all within easy reach and with excellent public transport. It's also the home of real paella!0

Or to Valencia for the same reason.0
