Any help/advice on good companys that people use for their kitties (not just money wise but are good and quick with payouts etc.) would be good here too as Lemmy is 8 weeks old this week and so will need to get insured.0

We've always found Direct Line to be brilliant (they've just paid £3300 for a cat with a broken leg needing 3 operations), and our vet will settle bills with them without us having to shell out first. I currently pay £46.18/month for 7 cats. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

Just thought worth mentioning that we have both our cats insured with Petplan, who are one of the more expensive options. However, I'm glad we went for it because one of ours developed a really bad skin condition that has meant a lot of expensive treatments and petplan will continue to insure and pay out with no increase in premiums, unlike other plans that I had looked at. The downside of course is now no other insurer would pay for it if we swapped.... However, having done the sums, overall we've saved money by having the insurance.0

Sorry for the waffley title.
I currently have a 10 month old minature schnauzer !!!!! who is in perfect health.
On Monday next week I am collecting a little boy schnauzer who is 14 weeks old and has previously had a hernia operated on. I would like to find an insurance policy which will cover them both and that will not make any exclusions because the boy has been treated for a hernia.
Also, I am planning to breed the dogs next year. As I will be a virgin breeder I am wondering what insurance will be available to me in the event of a pregnancy complication for my beloved girly.
If anyone has any experience of this of can point me in the right direction I would be grateful, as I deal with life assurance etc constantly I want to make sure I've got the right policy for the dogs.
Thanks

We've just got a new kitten and our vet recommended Pet Plan, but said that she'd heard a lot of good things about Marks & Spencer's policy. We went with M&S in the end...0
