  • Thanks purplepatch, I didn't see that post! :)
  • Phoned CS. Apparently they are aware of the duplicate policy problem and will be cancelling them automatically. One customer had 13 duplicate policies, luckily mine was only 2.

They said they will write to everyone next week detailing the policy number which will remain active and also confirm whether you are eligible for cashback.

One positive thing - At least this will hopefully clear things up and give me the option to cancel if not eligible for the offer.

Been watching this thread and wondering if I should continue to do nothing or jump on the bandwagon.

I received my policy documents through the post on Thursday 14th. I also have an email from the PO dated 7.08.08, timed at 10.19am. I actually applied for the policy on 7th at around 2am.

Should I phone them to ensure I'll be entitled to the cashback, or just assume I will, bearing in mind that the PO has been fair to date and all on here seem to have been told they will get it...?
    Thanks, Sparrer

I'm sure you'll be fine, but for your own peace of mind it's only a quick call to them to find out for sure, plus it's an 0800 number ;)

Two packs for me too this morning! I did get kicked out of the application process and had to log back in though, so maybe that did it. I'll give em a call Monday, just to double-check cashback status as my application completed 11.30am on the cutoff day. Then if I am eligible, it's onto Quidco, see if I can get that elusive £43! :)

ETA: Just called, fantastic service from them - they confirmed that they had already picked up that they'd sent two policies, and they'd already cancelled one of them. He also confirmed I would be eligible for the £100 after 3 months - woohoo!!! :)

So has anyone had any luck with Quidco at all yet?
  • Hi, I had a phone call last week cos the computer was trying to set up 17 policies for me:eek: . They told me all except one had been cancelled.
This morning the postman delivered 13 policy packs:eek::eek::eek: . Apparently they couldnt stop the packs being sent out but forgot to tell me. I was on the phone at 9am; I will only have one policy when they've sorted it all out and I should get a letter next week to confirm. Has anyone else had that many set up?

    Xmas Saver!
Sorry in advance, but its just crossed my mind, I would suggest anyone who has been getting duplicate policies, to check their bank accounts, as yes the Post Office have said they have/ will be cancelling duplicate policies, safer to get in ourselves, then go through all the hassle afterwards. I know Im online banking withe the Halifax, had to cancel a dd earlier took 30 seconds. x

3 packs arrived for me to!
Rang up to confirm about the cashback but he said I have to wait until I have just the one policy or something.
I done mine at 11am so I should be fine.

Ah, thanks for that - they had set up two direct debits, so I cancelled the one for the cancelled policy.

I got my letter of confirmation today and the policy numbe:jr. I phoned the Post office and a very efficient lady confirmed that my premiums were £5 per month and I was entitled to the £100 cashback after the payment of 3 premiums:j:j:j:j:j
She said that the original offer was a mistake:eek: on the web site:confused: but the Post office were honouring all those who applied under those conditions:D.
