lol, it would almost be funny if it wasn't so bloody annoying...

I went back to them again and tried to explain again, that it wasn't there to select bla bla, could they be more specific. They replied quite quickly to say that if I go to quidco/new-enquiry I should be able to do it.

Which just took me back to the same bit where there is no £43 listed. Aarrrgggghhh.

What is wrong with them, there are obviously a few of us in the same boat asking the same question, are they playing dumb on purpose hoping we'll sod off in the end?!?!?

So ping pong here too :rotfl:

Exactly the same here?!?! Oh well, think I'll try another insurance option and do the same as suggested here....
    Quidco ~ £3,718 | Greasypalm ~ £354 | Freefivers ~ £45 | Pigsback ~ £260 shopping vouchers + 15 CDs

  • Cancelled mine today, I heard that you won't get the cashback at the end of 3 months, even though they claim they will honour it.

There will be problems getting it, but whoever tries goodluck

I wrote this in a help request.

"Post office cash back - I applied for a life insurance policy through the post office completed it at 11.27 (obviously put date & time you applied). when I clicked through the quidco link life insurance was displayed at £43 cashback. The application has gone through but now has tracked at £00.00. and the cashback amount for life insurance is now no longer available. can you advise. Kindest regards"

    They responded with
"Thank you for your enquiry, Can you please raise a incorrect earnings enquiry at the following address once logged in www.quidco.com/new-enquiry , Kind Regards, Stephen. Quidco"

So I went through the link given and chose a random post office insurance and then put the above request in the comment box. This seems to have worked for me as it now says £43 pending. so not tracked or validated yet but progress is being made. Hope that helps.

Wouldn't it have been more prudent to pay a total of £15 in order to see, especially as there *should* be £43 cashback paid anyway?

And, yes, I would also like to know who told you this won't be paid.

I will not be cancelling mine even if I have to wait 12 months for the cashback 12 payments @ £5.00 = £143.00 return at worst - at best 3 payments @£5.00 = £143.00 return inc quidco. :j

The thing is, I've earned so many thousands off this site in the past few years through various offers/cashbacks/matched bets/freebie offers, that I've learned that £15 is worth a punt.

If they don't pay out (and it would interesting if you could actually clarify where you "heard" this from), they'll be another offer along soon enough to recoup the outlay.

Barclays had the same problem with their free £100 offer last year. They bribed loads of people to open accounts for the free cash and quickly had to pull the offer when so many people signed up. We still all got our free money (exactly the same thing happened with First Direct bank and countless many other companies before that!)

Well my plan/policy number hasnt turned up out of the blue, so on Wednesday i initiated a complaint by phone to PO within which the whole saga was carefully recorded by the manager i spoke to, following day I received an acknowledgement by post from Norwich Union.

Hopefully I will have some answers sooner than "3 months", If i dont get a satisfactory remedial response in the first instance then ill escalate the complaint in writing.

Only answer I had on Wednesday was that whilst there was a record of the previous two phone calls i made, nothing apparent appeared to have been done following the calls, both of which I was promised a call back. ( I had phoned four times in total which as i explained the experience has been very time consuming and stressful.)

Its ironic that mine did track for 43.00 on 6th August. I believe that many have a 43.00 cashback battle still to come.
