    Some people have, others haven't. If you want to know if you got in in time, just ring them up.

    Well, I didn't receive the email either, however if you go to their website http://www.postoffice.co.uk/portal/po/jump1?catId=19300223&mediaId=61000695, click on retrieve quote and enter your email address, date of birth and your unique reference number you should be able to retrieve the application at whatever stage it was left off at. My retrieved application read:
    Thank you for choosing Post Office!

    Mr fmervin, we confirm that your life insurance plan will start on 07/08/2008.
    So I presume I'm covered and should be within the £5/3m deal :rolleyes:

    Ah ! I had that but didn't know that's what it was. I have given them it and they are ringing back. Mine DEFINITELY went throught at around 11.15 but had a 'blank policy number' on the confirmation screen. I didn't notice it was blank til I went to find the policy number later to ring them.
    They first said they had no record of my policy, then, when I gave them this Web Ref he said he'll look into it and get back to me. Surely if I've had a confirmation screen at around 11.15 it means my policy was accepted before 11.30, even if their website has screwed up and not provided a policy number.
    Ok, I know, I'm rambling now.....:o
    Yeah hopefully we get to just do a new application under the old t&c's if they can't get it back. I have a confirmation page saying I have the policy, but the plan number is just blank. I did mine well before 11.30!

    It depends what time you signed up.

    I did mine last night, and my wife's today morning at 10am :) So well before the 11:30am cut-off. I received the email for the unique reference numbers almost immediately, but did not receive any confirmation email. The retrieved application however, does not say anything about the time the application was completed. Not sure if this is something they maintain on their system :confused:

    If you've got a plan number showing on the Your Covered screen, then chances are you're fine. If plan number is blank then you will have to ring them... my previous posts explain.... gotta dash now.

  • i applied for this life insurance, and got the error which told me to reapply, how has people got round this??
    how do i get confirmation without phoning up??

    I haven't done a thing all afternoon on the strength of this... also just had an email from hubby (honest guv, I don't know her!)

    Hi. I wonder if anyone can help.

    Is there any way for us to prove that we purchased the item before 11.30 am or is it just a case of us trusting the post office to honour this in three months time?

  • i think the post office know if you have applied before half eleven becuase i have just called and they told me i set it up at 11 42 which i did which means i wont be entitled for the old terms :-(
    didnt argue with the call person as they was very helpful and caught me out lol
