Just to clear up - does anybody have confirmation email from the post office?
All I got was the email with my reference number on it
Some people have, others haven't. If you want to know if you got in in time, just ring them up.

If it works... Which we may not know for awhile...
    Thanks anyway, of course!

Do you know how to take a screenshot?!

    Press the
'Print Screen' button above your arrow keys (next to the 'scroll lock' and 'pause' buttons). Laptops are usually on the right somewhere

Open up microsoft works/word/microsoft paint andclick edit > paste.

If you follow the link and fill in your reference number you should get to a 'congratulations, you're covered' screen.

It doesn't necessarily mean you are covered though. I didn't get the email, but could do what you suggest above and got a congratulations you're covered screen. However as their system went down around half eleven for the change in T&Cs, my application didn't actually go through properly so if I hadn't rung them, my policy wouldn't have existed.

Oh, ok, I thought you had a blank screen... I don't like phone calls much, I wonder if I can email them? I applied last night though (with a start date of the 10th) so my not having a confirmation email shouldn't have anything to do with the system down time.

I have just telephoned the post office on the freephone no 08000965489 I gave them my code from the email and some security details the lady told me they would honour the cashback as long as I applied prior to 11.30 this morning, with my £5.00 a month. Thanks to OP and my quidco has validated for £43.00.

No, I got the congrats screen with all other details, only the plan number was blank.

Seriously, I'm not a big phone fan either, but honestly they couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Ring them, you'll only be sitting around waiting for an email for ages.... go on...... ;)
