Want to try and use hardrive and ram in damaged pc in another pc

I was looking at your earlier post with the pci card link in http://www.amazon.co.uk/Port-Expansion-VIA-VT6421a-chipset/dp/B000S87GG0

When thats in is the sata drive installed internally or plugged in externally? its not quite clear on that picture. Bit concerned about the review though it might not be suitable for this old motherboard. Do they do adapter cable to use it as external if the card isnt suitable?

Fron the tech Specs:

Interface: 3 x Serial ATA ports (2 internal, 1 external) & 1 Ultra ATA port

So you can install the drive internally or externally. If the latter, the cable is ~probably~ an ESATA one, which is similar to a SATA cable but with more shielding and a different shaped plug (i.e. not interchangeable).

Can anyone tell me what is the card underneath the graphics card? Its smaller than the graphics card and has a light under it.

Its just the light on this card isnt on and I wondered if I should swap the other prob better card from the other machine too as it will not be as old as this one I think.
