Just been into Tesco and got the double points so they do work. Total on the receipt, although a bit iffy in the sense that quite a few things haven't appeared yet, still says pretty much what it was at the closing point in August.
Says:
NEW EXTRA POINTS 130 -

Just got my clubcard vouchers, all £16 of them in a £5, £10 and £1 set.
Website says that "Your £17 of vouchers are on their way".0 -
Thanks to all who replied. My points total seems to be back on the right track again, got £76.50 in vouchers this morning in the post, and the receipt from this mornings shop seems to be correct.0

http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/doublepoints/From 17th August 2009. Offer may be withdrawn at any time. Standard Clubcard terms and conditions apply, minimum spend to qualify for Clubcard points is £1.
are they doing it to keep custom or are they giving with one hand and taking away with another?
my partner and i haven't been collecting clubcard points for long but were attracted with a local tesco going up near to us, plus the x4 deals which in theory is 4% cashback on your shopping (yes i know it's not 4% exactly as prices are higher blah blah blah) - the rewards dont actually seem all that good apart from the eating out ones, i still miss la tasca being there
what do we all think of this new scheme though?0 -

In reality, I don't think it's worth getting too excited over. The points which we all get on our basic shopping are quite small in comparison to those gained from coupons, till spits, extra points offers etc.
Better than nothing, but not a huge difference imo.Now proud Mumto3 :j0 -
Hello all,
Sorry if this has been asked before... I always just used to use my clubcard points in store to buy my food shop...
However my girlfriend and I saw someone else had saved them up to get their wedding rings. We thought this was a great idea so wanted to do the same.
Now I am wondering do I just walk into Goldsmiths in 12 months time and slap my clubcard vouchers on the counter and they multiply the amount by 4 and knock that much off the bill?
Thanks for your help.0
