It's either the surname or the postcode that must tally. I dont know which.
I found that if you have other clubcard accounts in the same surname at the same postcode then it will let you submit the vouchers from them at the rewards checkout.

yes i know once changed into deals its easier to use vouchers not in your own name, but jmcateer is inferring they have changed other peoples clubcard vouchers into deals for their use, with no problem.

i just wanted to know how they did this, because i recently tried to order some deal tokens online for MIL (she doesnt have internet) and it wouldnt let me order them through my own account, as the codes didnt tally to my clubcard

I do this when changing my Mum's clubcard vouchers into Days Out Deals for us to use. But of course it means they go to her address. She's not on the internet either.

There is a form you can fill in and send off snail-mail to a Crawley address for Freetime to convert vouchers to Deals (you also send the actual vouchers off). I got my form in with the previous lot of Deals she received, so I can't recall where I got it the first time. Maybe it's on the FAQ on the Deals website or you could phone them on behalf of your MIL?

Remember the form has to be filled out by the cc holder and they will be sent to her address
(I have to warn my Mum to look out for them for me in case she thinks they are for recycling or something...).

I don't think you can change MIL's Deals online on your account though.

Are you all aware that you only get 1 point for every 4£ spend out side Tescos YES YES i hear u say.
But that on every single spend , eg spend £4,50 on card 1 point, spend £3.00 no point spend £7.99 1 point ,
    spend £ 8.01 2 points 50p spent no points ,
Total here on £ 4.00 spends = 4 points so what about the money over and or under a £4 spend .
    50p 50p 3.00 3.99 0.01 = £8.00 but no points . 2 points missed out on .

Cant find any were in terms & conditions that explains this Tesco s Finance are not being up front
    with customers .

How do others feel about this ,

    Answer: not bothered
A few points here and there is really not worth fussing over. Its the bonus points that you need to keep an eye on... the 50 extra points for buying cheese and the 200 extra points for recycling ink etc.

Not new at all I am afraid - the old style Credit Card worked the same way, just like it does with a standard Clubcard in store too, points are awared per transaction spend not your total amount spent over x weeks on your card. Its in the T&C's for over 10 years.

    .

The form used to be in the back of the Deals booklet.

You also used to get a new one to use every time you sent the deals tokens off. Certainly no form in the new rewards brochure tho-typical, eh? those who need to post them off as they don't have internet need to go on the internet to get the deals form...

  • Just noticed that you can buy a kids T-shirt & Embroidered Trousers set(£3.50 + £8.00) and recieve a bonus 200 points. I'm assuming that we can double up using vouchers on clothing still so quite a good return on points. It's a spotty t-shirt (in cream/pink or white/turquoise) and trousers are brown or turquoise.

    Norty but typical Tesco.

Yet another example of how T are pushing people towards their 'wonderful' double-up offer. They are conveniently sweeping Deals (Rewards I think they call them now) under the carpet hoping we will have forgotten about them when they make even more changes to erode the Deals value.
