Boosting your Tesco Clubcard Points Discussion Area

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to top-up the clubcard plus account at the customer service till with a credit card - or is it cash only?

Is this just the Southend branch or all Tesco's?
I would gladly save up all the recycling and wait till I am driving past a branch that does accept them for CC points.

I think its all recycling machines now, the one at Romford Gallows Corner definately only gives 1 point per 2 aluminium cans recycled. You can still recycle glass and plastic but you won't get points for them. They stopped the points in jan

Went shopping for a few bits this evening. Got my first till spit of the year - 250 extra points with a mobile phone top-up (which is due anyway).

Another £10 towards this summers theme park tour!:j

And only yesterday I was slating Tesco on another thread for being mean with the extra points.

sorry to be dumb - aluminium cans - does that include food cans? or just drink cans?

Be careful when booking with Cosmos using Clubcard Deals.

After Xmas hubby and I wanted to use our points (saved over 2 years!) for a winter break. We got a Cosmos catalogue from the local travel agents. We cashed in £250 of vouchers for £1000 to spend on a Cosmos holiday – yippee!!

Catalogue price (for 2 people) holiday All inclusive to Tenerife £1230 to £1430 (they have a range, not precise numbers! So we would have to pay the difference but not too bad. BTW price on-line same holiday £1208.

However, when I rang Cosmos to book (and give them the special numbers off my Cosmos/Tesco) vouchers the same holiday was £1658! Explanation from Cosmos was that was the Tesco Clubcard Voucher price was different from the Catalogue price. This meant I had to add a shed-load of money to make up the short-fall. I did book the holiday since I didn’t have enough cash to pay for a whole holiday.

I did write and complain to Tesco Clubcard Deals but only got a weasely-words reply.:mad:

in tesco today there are signs up for 500 points when you apply for a credit card, not on line
i've already got one so don't know if it applies to exsisting customers
didn't have time to enquire

anyone? I know it is prob a silly question but i honestly dont know the answer!

Food tins are usually made from steel. If you look at the back of the can, it normally tells you if you can recycle or what it is made of, ie aluminium or steel. If it has the two arrows going around in a circle, it means you can recycle it.

Don't forget to check that the assistant has added on your own bags used when shopping. Often they don't do it. Also it 's 2 points for the big bags (the 10p ones). One assistant even gave me 3 points each.

they have a tv on offer with 1000 pts. could i buy, arrange delivery for later in the week then phone next day and cancel, but still keep points. if so im buying one from every branch!
