And I do think that's how it works, otherwise they are giving away points for nothing (which is not something Tescos are doing at the moment!!). If you pay on their credit card, they could make some money if you pay interest rather than clearing balance in full. If you pay in cash / other card, they would have nothing to gain through offering you extra points.
I love my tesco CC, it's the best! I always pay on it for the extra points, and it's 0% til Feb so will pay it all off then.
I think what u qouted was referring to clubcard plus, not tesco creditcard!0 -
Yes - I just got 4 £2.50 off £10 of fruit and veg - one for the next 4 weeks.
Just to say thanks for the info re clubcard plus.Have only been back on this site because of the ICESAVE fiasco and thought I'd catch up on the threads relevant to me. Also applied for 2 internet savers - which will net us another 3000 points.
Cheers again to all helpful posters
Can anyone explain how to use internet savers best? I just found out they existed. It says you get awarded your points in February 2009...how late could I put my money in to earn the points? Do you get points for just opening the accounts? how long does the money need to stay in there for?
Thank you very much in advance!:rotfl: ¸¸.·´°¤AIRMILES NEEDED: 3,000¤°`·.¸¸:rotfl::confused: AIRMILES SAVED : 705 :wall:TESCO POINTS: 1709:A0 -

No, if you click on the link, it clearly says it's a Tesco Clubcard Credit Card0 -

You have to open the account before the 12th November. You need a balance in on 30th Nov to qualify for the points. You could open it with £1 and move the money in just for a few days over 30th Nov and then move it out again. The interst rate is however competitive. Tesco finance is part of RBS so don't go over your limit with RBS!

After reading about the mobile recycling scheme, I gave it a go with my old Sony Ericsson......I was dubious though!
However, it was like clockwork! Gave the £5 gift card to ED who was off to uni that week- adding up the points potential & the card, I got £12 back on a phone which had been at the bottom of a drawer for 2 years. Very impressed!Only dead fish go with the flow...0 -
When are double points added to Clubcard Plus transaction at Tesco Stores? My Clubcard Plus Card, which I I have had for years, only shows single points on the till receipt. Are the balance of points added later?0

I phoned Tesco Clubcard plus about this last week after my first ever internet shop using it came back with only "normal" points. It was explained that the extra points would appear on your next receipt. So, say you spent £30 then on that receipt you would get 30 points shown. If your next shop was also £30 your next receipt would show 90 points, ie the previous £30 spend has now correctly been doubled up to 60 points plus 30 undoubled points from the latest shop, and so on!!! Archaic I know.
Today we had our second Tesco delivery and having checked the receipt, it has happened exactly as they said.
Hope this helps
