Hi everyone. As Tesco experts hopefully you can help us. I was under the impression that even if you do not have the same surname, anyone living in the same house can pool their vouchers or gift them to another member of the house to use?

The issue is my fiance used my mums and my Tesco clubcard points to order open university vouchers, and enroll on his courses for next year. We did call Tesco before ordering them and the girl said we could use any vouchers for his course no matter what the name so long as they were registered at the same address. Now the OU has said they can not accept them as they are in our surname not his. Annoyingly £400 of the vouchers expired on the 31st March, but as the OU didnt tell us there was any issue we couldn't get Tesco to revoke them and now I assume we'll have lost all these points. We're gutted as this will make it a LOT harder for him to continue his degree next year, and any advice (even if its to tell us we were mistaken) would be welcomed.

best thing to do is beg tesco to re validate your vouchers (if you fail 1st time keep ringing till you get someone sympathetic) then merge your accounts. next time you get vouchers theyll all be in your name.
Everyone who thanks me when ive helped will get a 5% share when I win this weeks Euromillions......:p

Yes, they can rollover any unused vouchers of yours, but for anybody else - they would need to talk to the other person/people.
In the original post, the poster mentioned using three people's vouchers - "my fiance used my mums and my Tesco clubcard".
You can only 'merge' two people in a joint account (its not called a triple a/c), and Tesco would need to speak to the other person - to know they are in agreement.

Unfortunately with the OU pulling out of the clubcard scheme for all but level 1 courses, by the time we'd merged our accounts we wouldnt be able to do the courses anyway. Going to give them a bell in the next hour hopefully.

You will only get 500 point per transacvtion, so would need to put it through as 10 seoparate transactions. It's at the discretion of the store, but nothing stopping you buying two, taking them out to the car, coming back in for another 2 at onother checkout and so on...

Wrong its 500 points for every 2 you buy. i have bought more than 2 deals in one transaction and the points are safely in my account

My faith is restored in tesco managed to get hold of the magazine with 100pts offer in another store today,:j Yipee picked up a few, my husband thinks I'm mad but chance to get extra points for more towards holidays has become a bit of an obsession and im sure he won't be complaining when we get a break for free:beer:

Glad you managed to get some. Have you or anyone tried them on the meal deal? Just reading on the coupons thread that conditional spend has now changed and previously used to count before any discount taken off, no longer does. So just wondering if that applied to bonus point vouchers like this or not?
  • Hmmm, i shall definately sell you plenty of LG cookie's, especially seeing as they are only £44.97.
    what a bargain :rotfl:

I've tried the Moussaka - excellent and the sliced potatoes and onions side (can't remember the name!) - very nice also. OH tells me the white wine (Dino) was lovely and DD2 said pudding was great. I bought an extra main (Fish Pie - not eaten yet) which took me to £12 so spend not an issue (got my points no problem).
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D

As we are still trying to get through the wine from previous propmotion we don't think the finest meal deal is such good value for us as the deal involves a bottle of wine which we have plenty so unfortunately can't answer ur question but I would have thought u wld have to make it up by £1 spend on a finest product but there r many half price finest products ie frozen roast potatoes £1, fresh potatoes £1 there is also a pate unfortunately thats 98p but u can make it up with smaller buys and if they are half price even more savings. But the best way is buy 2 of their finest restaurant meals cheapest £5 with 100pts each + 100pts coupon = 320pts. U can only use 1 coupon per trans so have to split them up and do seperate trans.

There are some meatballs at £5, so there is a way of spending £10 within the offer, but that's the only option. There is some Finest pat! at £1.04 in the offer, so I plan on getting that tomorrow - they'd sold out of the £10 wine I wanted, so going back!
