Long time viewer, first time poster - the excitement!
Anyway - saw an offer in local Tescos today - box of Thortons chocolates £4.99 plus 100 extra points which means if you convert the points using a x4 offer, the chocolates only cost 99p. Just in time for Mothers Day as well. Guilt free chocolate, can't beat it! Looked like a national offer so get buying, i'm sure they wont last long.0 -

The Tesco DVD rental offer - 1000pts can equal £28 profit on the 4x basis. However, i don't use 4x but just normal shopping -so that would be £7 value of vouchers?-is it worth still taking up- given the 3 months rental will cost me £12 in the first place(and DVD rental it's not something i would go for in the anyway)0

Up to you then isn't it?
Surely there's something you can spend your clubcard vouchers on, rather than instore? It's absolutely the worst way to spend your vouchers.0 -

What i'm saying is does the Maths work in my favour considering that scenario ?
Bear in mind , Tesco arn;t dumb and being super generous -the 4x offers are at places where quite frankly you are being overcharged by 4 x anyway - imho0 -

Then you have to know whether you want the DVD rental in the first place??? If you do want one, then the extra offer is just a bonus.
Otherwise - cost £12 less benefit £7 - well, it's not rocket science, is it?0 -

A quick look at other deals - £10 clubcard - £40 Nationwide auto centre voucher. £10 clubcard = £40 Goldsmith voucher. £10 clubcard = £40 NEC college voucher. £12 clubcard = 12 Blockbuster rental vouchers which could be £6 per voucher thereby making the deal 6x. I could go on.
Just because a lot of the deals are not 4x, don't tar all deals with the same brush.0 -
Please can someone help me check my calculations. I'm due to pay off £2130 on a kitchen. If I pay using my Tesco Clubcard Credit Card I will pay a 1.5% fee therefore total £2161.95. Could someone please tell me what this will equate to in clubcard points, and then what it would equate to in airmiles if I chose to cash them in that way.
