I was once told (very unofficially), by someone from an organisation accepting Clubcard tokens, that they only actually get half the nominal value of the tokens paid to them, eg £5 for a £10 token.
Can this be true? I wonder if there is more to it than that?
If it is true, perhaps it expalins why so many of the offers fall short of the '4x' principle.0 -

It is still a 2 way deal - Tesco get all of the money it takes to get the points, the partners get the business boost of partnering with the biggest retail company in the UK. Loss leaders by all concerned. This explains why the OU will only accept vouchers for level 1 courses now as they are the intro courses. They are still willing to take the hit on one course in the hope that people will pay full price for the others.
I would think that double points and loads of deals are making partners think twice now as more people are spending more vouchers on deals that are only half the revenue to the partner. It will depend on the business of the partner as well. Theme Parks for example wouldn't be particularly bothered as they just want people through the gates spending money inside. Companies selling cheap to make products also won't mind as they will get more sales - that teach yourself French CD set for example. However, companies like the OU have to provide all of the course materials and possibly extra tutors for half the normal cost so you can see why they are changing the rules. It wouldn't surprise me to see more partners changing their deals in the near future.0 -
 Just checked my clubcard account points balance and it's gone down from 3886 yesterday to 292 today!
What's going on?
If its another 'surprise' mailing (for easter? like the one they did at christmas?) I shall be really annoyed  as the Airmies double offer is on until 21st March and I have already changed the vouchers I had - if I'd known here was going to be an extra mailing this month I'd have waited until the last day to see if the extra ones arrive in time to include them in the order :mad:2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

I have even weirder one... Suddenly got mailing with my OHs name on it, my clubcard number on it but when I had a look online all my points are still there and it's saying I am not due mailing until May!
OH got Tesco credit card and when applying put my Tesco clubcard number in there to make sure they are connected and now it seems they've changed everything into his name for no apparent reason!! While I also have their Credit card connected to that account. Maybe he could get my bill as well;)
If that is the case I am also annoyed, because now I will have to create new Airmiles account and merge them etc etc. And I also already turned my vouchers to Airmiles to get double.0 -
Hi all,
a question about points, we recently paid for most of a siblu holiday with our Tesco points and have sadly found that we can't go.
It's too late to cancel, so my question is, is there anyway someone else could have it? I know the points are non transferable but with the holiday fully paid for how would they check?
I just think it's a real waste of a holiday for the sake of my name on it. Any advice would be really appreciated.
