January? You can't plan 5 months in advance for buying a computer. Prices fall so quickly as new technology comes out, come January you'll be looking at a computer for £799 thats way more powerful that the one you're looking at now, and the one you're looking at will probably be £400, or around that for an equivalent.

    Apologies. :o

Was answering the 'phone and the last posting in the thread I'd read was:

As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,

When someone had a similar problem in the past, this was a reply from the site team.

These issues you are experiencing with the Thanks addon, are due to cache. Please try clearing all your old internet files and cookies, and see if that solves the issue.

You can check if it's a cache issue simply by installing a second browser (that you currently do not use) such as firefox or opera and see if it works there, as they will have their own fresh cache.

Sorry for any inconveniences you are experiencing,
    Kind regards,
    Daniel

Well it's easy enough to try ccleaner and Firefox to get to the bottom of this thanks problem.

Er, that's why she wants to wait until January instead of paying £800 for it now.

Mwahahaha my thought are correct. thought it might be that.

    However OP, takes these steps:

Top right, should say Tools, click that.
Then click Internet Options at the bottom of the list.
A new box should open, there should be a small section saying 'Browsin History', click settings.
Make sure the 'Automatically bit is pressed and press ok'.
Then the box should still be up, press Delete, and Delete Files from Temp Interenet Files and Cookies.

Press Close, then Ok, close the browser (all windows). Load up again.

Log into MSE, press Thanks, see what it does.
