Need help with the Thanks button!

Well at least the thanks bit worked. Perhaps you need to close and restart your browser.

The Thanks button has always worked, it thanks people but it drags me back to the top of the screen and on long threads I am enjoying reading I don't want to have to scroll all the way back down.

Someone else must have had this problem?

Short of going back to PC world with my petty problem and queuing behind people with screwed up PC's ... I was hoping someone on here may now how to do it.

Its because the thanks button is also a link to the thread, so it just refreshes the page.

Which obviously it shouldn't do. Not sure why it does.

Are cookies enabled? And cache? If you don't know how to tell, are you using IE or Firefox?

I am using IE. I don't know whether Vista or IE7 is the same thing?

Should I use Firefox?

I just hate it doing this.

And I reckon McaFee virus is doing something too, that stupid programme boots me off Facebook.

If you try using Firefox and it then works correctly, you then know that you have a problem with IE or your cached files etc.

Under no circumstances buy a Mac from PC World. :eek: (Unless it's being remaindered, unused, at a truly spectacular discount, on clearance. :cool: )

Get it cheap but perfect (with full warranty) as a refurb from the Apple Online Store, instead. :money:

I haven't got it sorted at all.

I have taken a look at that site, the one in PC World was £799 so I was hoping it would be much cheaper in January.
