Well at least the thanks bit worked. Perhaps you need to close and restart your browser. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

The Thanks button has always worked, it thanks people but it drags me back to the top of the screen and on long threads I am enjoying reading I don't want to have to scroll all the way back down.
Someone else must have had this problem?
Short of going back to PC world with my petty problem and queuing behind people with screwed up PC's ... I was hoping someone on here may now how to do it.:cool:0 -
Its because the thanks button is also a link to the thread, so it just refreshes the page.
Which obviously it shouldn't do. Not sure why it does.
Are cookies enabled? And cache? If you don't know how to tell, are you using IE or Firefox?0 -
Try post #3, you may have, more crap than you think! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Thanks Lokolo.
I am using IE. I don't know whether Vista or IE7 is the same thing?
Should I use Firefox?
I just hate it doing this.
And I reckon McaFee virus is doing something too, that stupid programme boots me off Facebook.:cool:0 -

If you try using Firefox and it then works correctly, you then know that you have a problem with IE or your cached files etc. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

I dont know. I have an orange box in the bottom right side saying Java update available.
Incidentally, I saw a beautiful MAC desktop in white at PC world and I am going to save up and buy one for my husband as he likes the desktop.
He would love one.
Dippy,
Glad you got it sorted.
Under no circumstances buy a Mac from PC World. (Unless it's being remaindered, unused, at a truly spectacular discount, on clearance. )
Get it cheap but perfect (with full warranty) as a refurb from the Apple Online Store, instead. :money:
http://store.apple.com/uk (Bottom right hand corner of page.)
Speaking of which, did you buy that 2.2 GHz ProBook that was up for grabs there, this morning, at £929, Rev? It's gone already.
Mind you, THIS one looks good, for £1,050, if you missed it.
Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:
As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.

I haven't got it sorted at all.
I have taken a look at that site, the one in PC World was £799 so I was hoping it would be much cheaper in January.:cool:0
