I have put £2 in pot ready to pay off card as soon as I can get to the bank...next week.
    Debt busting 2022 Total £15842.68 £0 (100% paid since 1/1/22)
  • Has anyone else had a letter from Next? I got one this morning saying "Thank you for your recent internet payments. Can you please call us regarding the payments on 0844 etc...."

I did call, all ready to demand they show me where in the T&C that it says I can't pay £1 a day, but as it turns out they were just checking that the payments were intentional and weren't a duplication error! :rotfl:

So if anyone else gets a letter like this from them, don't worry. ;)

  • The bank account is looking beak, so had to drop the payment level to £1.23. I was desperate to keep on going.

I even resisted the urge to buy an £80 Radley handbag today. I stood there looking a the 'beautiful pink bag', with the little white dog. Nice length handles, two zipped pockets inside. A bargain when the RRP was £145!

I just kept thinking, if you can pay £80 on a handbag, you can pay £80 off the Barclaycard and if you pay £80 off the Barclaycard till it is clear, you would be £100 a month better off. Then I can buy one Radley handbag every month...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Took the kids to McDonalds, they have not been for weeks. Only bought 2 happy meals though, I just knicked some of their food. They are only 5 and 2, so they don't eat much.

Also spent 2 lots of £5 in Boots, to get the £5 No 7 Voucher and the £5 skincare voucher. £20 worth of tokens for a £12 spend. Off to treat myself tomorrow on freebies.

Right, I have paid £1 to saver and £1 to ISA for today, but I am away until tuesday night, so I have also transferred £3 to saver and £3 to ISA for those days. £8 transferred in total today. I have updated my sig also.

Not quite the same but net banking did similar to me last week when I transferred some money from my savings to current. I had transferred 2 £25 amounts within a couple of hours of each other and they wouldnt do the 2nd one until I confirm it was intentional.

Due to DH getting paid much less than we thought (in dispute) I had to claw back one of my payments for £35 (caught it just before it was paid).....will catch up next week when I've actually got something to over pay with.

Keep up the good work all.
