    hiya all,

i think this is brilliant, for us and i really think the extra work the creditors have to do for paying our 1.00 or so off our bill must be driving them mad, lol

well, they are getting paid, what would be their problem hahah

so may i pls join too,

i think now im getting my evans card set up on my online banking, the minimum payment is 1.00 so i will try and do this but as long as i can send a full pound when i reach that amount during the week, it will help me reduce this silly low amount of about 90.00 also i will be asking for my overlimit charges so i think about 36.00 could be credited and will send my letter off today.

so yes happy days and although im really into all this moneysaving - this thread is also showing me another way i can attack the debt so thank you

will subscribe and keep going everyone ciao for now MAZ

    Mornin' all

I have spoken to MBNA (A&L visa) about the missing overpayments and am now completely confused!! Only one of my £2 payments is showing, as are both £10 payments. However, a £2 and £1 are missing. Also the amounts seem to coming off my minimum payment rather than the total, ie at the last statement date minimum payment £101 now reads minimum payment £79.

Unfortunately, the girl I spoke to was not particularly helpful and assured me that the payments are coming off the total not the minimum payment and says the on-line system is wrong! Not convinced, but all I can do is wait for the next statement.

In the meantime, I think I will put my daily payment aside and pay it off the visa when I know what is happening.

I found £1 on the train floor last night so I'm adding that to yesterday's £2 and Sunday's £1 and a round up of £1 = £5, will adjust my running total.

I have posted already today but just thought I would say i think we are completely confusing our creditors with all these payments.

I have been paying £1 every day and yesterday I got a letter saying I was in credit by the amount I actually owe!!!!. I am sure this is because of all those extra payments. And even though I know it's wrong it made think of how i will feel when the debt really is gone.

Hi - I only found this thread today, but you're all doing so well I'd like to join the challenge if it's not too late! I'd like to get the balance on my most expensive debt (Cap 1 Visa) down as quickly as possible. Don't get paid till next week so pretty skint at the moment, but have paid £7.65 to it today bringing total owed down to £1016.72:eek: . Interest due to be added tomorrow though:mad:
