Thanks i mean ive only paid a fiver in total off since i started this challenge but ive had this card sine 2005 and have just paid the min payment spent then over spent on it and never even tried to pay it off till i joined this site and lookes at the snowball calcultor (scary moment) and realised the interest is 19.9% so this challenge is great for me i want the balance down to £480 by xmas 2008 so hopefully i can pay a little more some days and make this happen.

    well done everyone!!
  • Made my own dinner for work today, a very nice cous cous salad with ham. So, £5 which I would have probably spent at the shop on a manky sandwich and other junk food at work has been moved over to the Barclaycard.

I don't want to count up how much I have paid extra as it might make me stop and buy myself a present instead!! I'm going to wait for the statement and have a nice shock for a change.

    No Spend Day today.....

    Keep going everyone.

I've also been over to the Nominate the Post of the Month Board http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=51 where I have nominated this thread (along with lots of other posters from here) for the August 2008 post of the month.

Thank you Ehallett once again. This is the only thread I have really really got into. It is doing my finances the power of good as it is focusing my NSD's and using the money for the Payment a Day challenge. :T :T

    Hi All,

Well I counted up my small change pot and had £4.93. My min payment on Barclaycard is £5 so I nicked 7p out of DH's change pot! lol. However, I'm not banking it today as I have a day off work and it would mean driving into town and paying for parking so it kind of defeats the object. I'm planning a NSD today so I'll pay the bill tomorrow when I'm at work and can walk to the bank in my lunch hour. :D

I've been lurking around this thread wondering if I could stick to this challenge. It's such a simple idea but so effective.

I've now set up a money transfer from my bank account to my ISA (which I've had for 6 months and haven't paid a jot into it) and have just moved across my first £8.76 - to round off my bank balance to a nice even number. I'm on a DMP so intend to save up £50 and then move that over into an extra payment into the DMP which will reduce the amount of time before I'm out of debt.:j I could just bypass the ISA but I think that seeing an amount build up will motivate me more.

Well done EHallet for a brilliant challenge.

Afternoon all, I have just transfered my £2.00 to virgin for today. I might even start paying off my next balance, it is only £80.00 but I think it will feel better to pay it off slowly than one big payment.

well done all for what you have all paid so far, as mr t's says every little helps.
