    Hi Greenbynature

That makes me feel a little better,That I'm not the only one! The girl said the minimum payment would remain the same, but she didn't sound that certain to me. I plan on paying the difference each month as well ie £101 minus whatever the new minimum payment is.

Imagine how you'd feel to think you'd paid off £80 extra to discover you hadn't at all, how depressing would that be!

I will still keep an eye on it, but won't relax properly until I see the proper statement.

Hi - I only found this thread today, but you're all doing so well I'd like to join the challenge if it's not too late! I'd like to get the balance on my most expensive debt (Cap 1 Visa) down as quickly as possible. Don't get paid till next week so pretty skint at the moment, but have paid £7.65 to it today bringing total owed down to £1016.72:eek: . Interest due to be added tomorrow though:mad:

Jazza, welcome to the thread. Hope you get addicted like the rest of us and pay of those debts faster.

  • Hi, Well done to all those who are paying things off so strictly! I've decided to ensure i pay the bed debt first of all so that will be my main target until...well i reach it! (Payment is due in January) We need to save approx £950 so will be putting money into the bed account each day online until i've saved enough. Hope this makes sense! Also going to use all the money frm my Jam Jar challenge for this. Roll on payday...! Tink xx

Hi, ya when i view my statement for Barclaycard on line, it says that you can make any partial payments of £5.00 and over so maybe that's why your £1.00's wern't showing? How much were you paying off a day?

Thanks for the welcome Emily, DebtfreeDreamer and others. Seeing you all doing so well has certainly inspired me and as my Cap 1 visa has an APR of 29.9% I really need to get rid of it asap. After that I can work on the others with their lower interest rates (some on 0% BT). Looking forward to seeing my balance steadily decrease.

One thing I do hope to do to hopefully eliminate or at lease minimise interest on it is to keep the balance turning over (ie use it to pay bills etc. and then immediately pay off by transferring the exact amount from my bank account thereby hopefully paying off the whole balance on the statement - although I can't afford not to re-use it:mad: , but hopefully including my extra payments I can reduce the outstanding balance by using a bit less of my available credit each month. I'll need to be disciplined with myself though:rolleyes: - easier said than done, but should be easier with support from this thread:T

Hi there, my CC is Barclaycard and I have been paying off £2.00 per day with no problem.
The total is coming down and the payments are listed under 'recent transactions'.

As a tip, I have been paying with my debit card on the BArclaycard site, rather than to my Barclaycard from current account.

Do you think that makes a difference?
