  • Well, have £9.63 to pay today as this is left in my bank and its payday tomorrow.

Have to take Fraser to have his injections today, and I feel so guilty.:cry::cry: he is in a really good mood as well. Will just have to give him lots of hugs later.

No snow here either, but lots and lots of rain, and blooming freezing. DS1 has a pantomime trip today so wont be picking him up til 5.15 so have dug out my slow cooker and we are having beef stew - should warm us all up. Might make a loaf later to go with it too.

Have a great day everyone - keep warm ;)

BigBeff - sorry to hear about the accident, at least like others have said you weren't hurt, sending big hugs your way!

Well its that day where i feel like i have taken one step forward and two back (the interest has been added onto my HSBC CC!!), how i wish someone would just give me a 0% balance transfer.
Oh well at least i am in a better position than i would have been if i wasnt making all these extra payments, so another £3.80 paid towards it from me today.

Hope everyone has a great day, payday 2moro! :j (for all those paid weekly)

    Morning all

I feel like crying. After all my recent hard work I was unfortunately in an car accident last night - and unfortunately the other woman was claiming her light was green (which I don't think is true) so whatever happens, my insurance is going to be affected. Car maybe a write off - its an old car. So at the moment I may need to fork out for repairs if its fixable or a new car if its not. I have been working so hard at getting my debts down. It is all so rubbish. Really want to cry. I suppose on the bright side my insurance is due in a couple of weeks and I was only looking at renewals before I went out...good job I hadn't renewed, and was on my way to get petrol - so crashed on an empty tank!!

I'm sorry to hear that, I had exactly the same problem in the summer of 07. As for who will get the blame: you haven't said what kind of junction it was.
If it was a crossroads and you were turning+she was going straight - you will be to blame, if you were both going straight then chances are they will favour the person who is already on the main-er(?!) road and it will also depend on your position on the road - you will have to draw a diagram.
If it was a t-junction and you were going straight, it will prob be her fault if she was joining the road.
However, as a sort-of rule, if at any point you were turning to cross the other side of the road, they will blame you, regardless of the lights - unless you have witnesses/can prove it etc.

I hope the above helps, it's rubbish I know, and I felt terrible, angry and upset. It was the money that made me feel sick and all the mess/inconvenience and it does drag on and on I'm afraid. If it's an old car then I would be tempted to say don't try and fix it - it costs a bomb! I had to have my front passenger side banged into shape plus a new light and I got them to screw the old bumper back on(!) and it still cost about £250 - it's the labour costs that do it. The most annoying thing in the world for me tho was that the previous day I had my MOT done there and had just forked out £300. They couldn't believe it when I pulled in the following morning and my bank didn't thank me for spending £550 in 2 days on an old banger...!

At least you are not hurt, things could be worse. I'm afaid it will drag on and there will be times when it gets you down, but hang in there and concentrate on other things. Always have a cuppa/tissue/chocolate/stress ball to hand when having any contact with the insurance company!!!
Another thing - do you really need a car? for work etc?

    Big hugs, x
