Morning everyone. I'm useless at remembering names etc, but good luck for houses, sympathy for bad backs/colds etc etc.
Usual £1.00 for me today to the OD. I am going to follow anothers bravery and add the money i owe DS. I 'borrowed' it from his savings account to pay for a holiday earlier this year.:o
I applied for a lifetime balance transfer of 6.5% from cap1 but was refused that rate and offered me one at 12.9% instead....i reckon I can get a better deal than that so not sending paperwork etc back.
Have a great day everyone.LBM 10/08 £12510.74/0 -

Hi all. I'd like to join. Forgive me, I have to admit I scoffed a bit at the idea of paying tiny amounts against my debt/savings, but reading through your stories I'm genuinely humbled and very impressed with your efforts.
Well done and you have really inspired me.
Today I have:
Put £1 against my Flexiloan.
Put £1 in my ISA.
Put £1 against my credit card (Currently £31. Not listed in my sig as I pay it off at the end of each month but all the better if i can do it before i get paid!)0 -

oh no! i owe my kids money as well and had completely forgotten! :eek:we borrowed from their savings to get double glazing a couple of winters ago and have been putting back a bit every now and then. i have checked the amounts and added to my signature - and pasted in some pound signs from word! now have a master plan in place to begin paying back a large chunk each month starting in february 2009 - should take about 12 months from then to be straight (and then put a bit extra in to make up for lost interest!)
in the meantime, i'll continue to put a little bit into my savings each day. so a pound to savings today. still need to decide on my targets. what is it they say - have about 3 months living expenses saved in case you need it?
wish i could share the wine, but it won't be around for long! we tend to allocate a bottle between us on a friday night, another on a saturday night, and sometimes we go mad and have one with sunday dinner as well (as usually bought on 3 for 10 from asda.) this is our "entertainment" budget as we don't really go out.
have a great weekend everyone! xMortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A
