    Morning everyone

I got a great deal on my contents insurance yesterday, saved just over £100 and got £40 on Quidco as well! So today I'm paying £50.30 off the visa (I'll pay the other £50 nearer payday) and once I get the Quidco payment that's going against it too!

In fact I think it means I only paid about £12 for the year, not bad!

I may just get the visa to under £3k when the statement comes it, now that would be something!

Some of you are real early birds or is it late night owls:confused:

Hope the figures work out purpleposting4 it's great to see a debt cleared way to go:j
£17.61 to HSBC today that takes me past £100 thanks to you guys:j:j:j:j

One of my missing payments due turned up today so just need to chase up the other one. Getting paid tomorrow (by cheque so I will have to let it clear:mad:) but really excited as we only get paid every 3 months and we have 2 big ones (1/3 of income) and 2 small ones (1/6 of income) and this is a big one:j:j. Usually I would pay a big lump off my CC and then run out of money before the end of 3 months and have to borrow on the CC at a horrible rate even ruining a nice LOB rate last time because I just couldn't get it anywhere else:eek:. But after studying the snowballing and listening to sound advice on here I am going to open some savings accounts and put the extra money I need to last for 3 months and some for 6months as my next payday will be a small one and pay a smaller lump sum off my CCs so that the trend will be consistently downwards not like a roller coaster.

Enjoy your new GD greenbynature they grow so quick I am sure GD1 will be proud of being a big sister very soon.

  • I have the bug! Never thought I'd be so excited about the postman delivering my credit card statement. Good news is overestimated my balance on Halifax creditcard. Bad news £87.99 mobile bill (2 months). Will check when contract expires and move to pay as you go.
