This morning I said i would make my payment of 50p to my savings but on checking my bank I only have 11p untill tomorrow afternoon when i get paid. So tomorrow i will make tomorrows payment plus the 50p i should of made today.. is that ok? I dont want to miss out on not paying a payment a day so this way i am really still making a payment a day to my savings account.

    Hi everyone

Sorry that I have kind of abandoned this thread for a bit - I just had a lot of things on my plate. Everyone has been doing so well and thank you all for carrying on with your daily posting. Welcome all newbies.

I have just spent the last 2.5 hours reading through the thread and adding all newbies since the last time I updated the list. If you are not on there but should be then please PM me and I will add you on. I decided to remove the debt information as people are changing their targets/paying them off so I thought it would be easier just to have names on there.

Big congratulations to those that have already cleared some debts and well done to everyone else for plugging away at this challenge.

I am now officially on my DMP and will therefore be adding to some savings every day. This money won't be for anything in particular, just something that I can dip into when I really need to - so my amount may got down sometimes as well as up. I've got a bank account that I have been putting odd pounds and pence in (from my main account) and I've also got a change jar that counts the coins as you put them in. So far, I've got:

    Change jar - £8.91
    Savings account - £4.74

    Total - £13.65

Will add to these every day and try to use the savings as a last resort if I need it.

    Emily x

  • Welcome back Emily! I'd wondered where you had got to! Hope your DMP works out for you ok.

Am managing to find bits of odd change and will add it up to make a payment next week. Mum bought the kids 15tog duvets yesterday so they'll stay warm at night - she's a gem! She also bought me some dishcloths from wilkos!!!

Have a nice (wet) day! x
  • £1.50 for me today. Good to see you back Emily!
