Everyone's doing really well and so many new people joining all the time, it's fab

Paid £3.50 to Barclays overdraft instead of evil loan by mistake, but it's still a debt reduced. £10 to Cap 1. Because of bank card cloning palaver i am having to use money saved so have altered my sig.

Paid £5.00 to the credit card today. Just received my NEXT bill this morning and its great to see Payment - "Thank You x 9",:T rather than "purchases - thankyou " :rolleyes: listed on my statement.

£1 today, and feeling feed up. Rushed my payment a day money bag to the bank on saturday and paid it in only to be told that it didnt clear in time for my mortgage payment, supposingly even though the girl at the counter said saturday is a normal day for them it isnt and none of the money goes in till monday, typical I think I am getting somwhere and I am not. Plus Barclaycard still not tracked down my payment even though have sent them friends statenment. Do you ever feel you are never going to get there?

Hi Sazzledazzle. I completely emphathise with you. That's the trouble with being in debt, it only takes the smallest thing to upset the apple cart. We just have to keep gritting our teeth, knowing that we will get there in the end.

At Natwest last Saturday the girl told me i would incurr charges. My account showed a dd would be going out on Monday, but i was paying my money in on Saturday. I chose to ignore her - she was wrong and my payment into the account was counted in time to cover the dd going out. I hope this is the same for you.

Sazzledazzle - I know just where you're coming from. We're fine if nothing goes on. Sadly life means stuff happens and then I spend the rest of the month playing catch up. I was doing well on this challenge but all the money had now gone on rehoming a rescue dog, vets bills and paying bills. Mind you, if I hadn't done the payment a day then I'd have gone into debt so i'm not going to get down about it.

My new payment a day plan is to get the interest free credit card to zero so we don't need another one - with the current economic climate i'm not sure we'd get one anyway! So, today's payment is £50 from yougov. I'm going to put it in the bank tomorrow so i've set up a standing order to pay the credit card off then. I'm aiming to pay it off by Easter.

Hi everyone, I have set up my internet banking today so I can overpay all my credit cards online, so I have overpaid £2 to each one online this afternoon and another £60 to Argos, which has come from the tax rebate oh got extra in his salary!!!! woohoo Debtfree here I come!!!
