  • Evening all, thanks for the nice welcome. I'm going to focus on paying my Tesco cc, on Friday I went to the bank and paid in £20 instead of my usual £12 to get me started. I'm going to put money in a jamjar everyday, I found 4p and 20p yesterday - I shall put that in the pot too! Thanks for the motivation - I spend so much money on crisps, crunchies and McDonald's cups of tea - I might not be able to give up the cup of tea (after all, me and my friend just buy a cuppa each and sit in McD's for about 3 hours!) but I'm going to give up the crisps and crunchies! I suppose I could put in the money daily that I would usually spend on them...........................oooh I shall find the exact amount of my card and put it in my sig, and watch it go down :D

  • Paid £1.20 for yesterday and £1.21 for today to the Barclaycard.

Yesterday I downloaded the Loan Amortization template from the microsoft web site and worked out I could pay off my car loan in February with savings. This is the same month as my 0% finishes on the Virgin and if I move that to another 0% I will save around £500. Instead of continuing to pay the car loan and clearing the Virgin. The main reason being I can overpay on the credit card and clear it before the 0% expires again.

:j It pays to do the sums :j

This means I should be debt free by the Summer of 2010

Morning everyone. It's lovely and sunny here today so I think I might take the dogs for a walk on the beach.

Had a bit of blip on Friday when, because I was so tired, got a takeaway for the family. Of course there wasn't enough in the bank account without going into the overdraft so I paid for the takeaway and then rushed back home to transfer money from the ISA back into the account. There is a positive in all this in that I have an item finishing on ebay today which should cover the cost of the takeaway and I'm owed £20 (from 3 months ago) by a work colleague who will be paying me back on Monday:j

So paid nothing yesterday although did find 2p and put that in the change jar and I still have £7 in the bank account so have just paid £1 back into the ISA.

    Have a great day everyone.
