Looking closely at the back label on this wine, it would appear that it is bought in bulk and bottled in the UK, hence the £9.99 if bought as a bottled import from NZ?0

Bit of a heads up....
There is a load of work being done over the next 4 to 5 weeks clearing out old range from frozen, grocery, wine/beer and health & beauty. The idea is to free up the cash tied up in slow/non moving/discontinued lines. All of it will start with a 50% reduction, rising to 75% to clear it all. For my store it is close to 1500 lines...A massive piece of work and some good bargains to be had over the next month or so.Who or what was I before you came in to my life

My local Tesco (Metro) had a few cages of seemingly random reductions - odd jars of various sauces, odd tins, odd strange things with Polish labels  and odd big bags of crisps, most of them had short dates but it looked like they'd had a clear out in the store room and decided to sell off all the odds and ends they'd got left.
I also noticed that the shelves that normally have seasonal stuff (eg Easter Eggs) have been cleared off and signs had gone up saying "Amazing Reductions" or something like that. There was no stock on them though.
Could be a good few weeks for bargin hunters, if this is happening nationally.Happy New Year :beer:0 -

Thats the sorta thing I was talking about....and yeah, it is national, from Express up. Will be different in every store, even to the point of something being reduced in one store and not an other.Who or what was I before you came in to my life

Also noticed a freezer section full of completely random bits.
Finest Aberdeen Angus burgers caught my eye at £0.99 from £2.99.

I guess I'd better stock up on the Tesco own brand frzen fallafel. I noticed it in a freezer with Discontinued SEL. Reduced to 94p. I only picked up 2 bags as I was on a tight budget this week. I hope they've still got them in stock next week.0

Frozen is going to be a big one in most stores as that area has just gone through a complete relay and range change. 200 lines for me, some of which are just odd singles but also some ex-promotion lines where I have loads. Frozen in particular will be spread over the coming weeks given the restraints on filling/displaying the product.Who or what was I before you came in to my life
