We have just eaten one of the Pennybank Lamb Joints for tea. Absolutely delicious and plenty for 4 of us. No more in my store now though

Thank you to the OP for the heads up on the Bacofoil packs. I managed to get a couple today and I'm going to 'doctor' them into a big bag for my turkey, much cheaper than a buying actual turkey wrap!

Don't forget they're meant to give a smoky flavour!

    Hi Jane

I don't understand, how do they give a smokey flavour? Its just tin foil isn't it? I'll go back and read the instructions but I didn't see anything added to give off any flavourings.

Please report back with what you know :D
  • Looking at the back of the pack it has natural alder chips in a separate compartment in the base of the bag, and if you just slightly open the pack you can smell them!

Maybe you could cut through the base (as they advise not to!!) and get rid of them before you use it?

That is all assuming you have the same bags as me and they weren't getting rid of more types without us noticing! Mine are called smoker bags.

My tesco had the organic frozen chips reduced from £1.99 to 25p a bag today. (Even cheaper than earlier in the week.) Fortunately I had some room in my freezer so I was able to buy a few bags.

    No Baco-bags left in Yate.

Picked up sometime Herbal Essence shampoo and a conditioner for BOGOF. Each had a bottle attached with a "tester" attached which was a three quarter size bottle of similar. So got 4 shampoo/conditioners for £3.20-ish. Seemed like a good deal.

  • Never been able to find the amazing bargains you have all managed...until today.

In the freezer, bought 5 packs of Tesco BBQ Ultimate Mexican Pork Ribs - 600g - was 3.00 down to 1p. Good to Jul09. In the oven as I type :)

    Barcode 5 051622 672019.

ETA: Not a misprice - there was a SEL which said "1p."
