I'll put my sherlock hat on Maz

Down to 1 AI, 2 SC, 2 HB. I saw past the lure of the jacuzzi with quite a few repeated 'rubbish food' reviews. Everyone is different but if they are repeatedly saying something, off the list it goes!! Also thinking -get a hotel B+B, fill up on breakfast and then go out to dinner - with HB, we eat loads and then are too full to go drinking!

i remember we got the bus to Blanes and then the train to Barcelona... and if barca is your bag (and who wouldn't) then it is a bit of a scutter to go from Lloret to blanes on the bus then onto the train, and you may have to wait a while for a late connection back as buses back to Lloret are not as frequent at night... would be okay if you planned it of course... not just winging it like us.

Callela/Magret are on the main train route i think, so you lose that problem....

B&B is good, as long as you have a reasonable window of time, i.e. til 10am i hate having to get up early for brekkie!

It's a bit far... but you can easy hop on a bus into main town...

The area has it's own little beach which is down a hill, across the main road and another 100 yards.... you can't walk along from the beach onto main prom, or at least it's not obviously part of the same stretch IYKWIM.

The main road is the one which you can walk along to main Lloret, or there are plenty buses....

the walk back up the hill is bearable - just.....

supermarket very close....

This was my first taste of med holiday, and have had more since and would say they were better.... and as you're better travelled than me, i think you wouldn't really rate it.

I don't think I'm particularly well travelled - I wish!!! My travelling over the last few years has been restricted to 'are the fares any more than 1p?' if not, then I'll take 2!!

just had someone on the phone call me (after it ringing 3 times previously!) and call me Mrs and then half of first name, then first name (!) and said 'I'm not selling anything, i want to tell you about a government grant you are entitled to'............riiiiiiiigggggggggghhhht, I say.........'you can clear all your debts legally through the government'........I have no debt, it's an IVA and I know exactly what one is, I barked and put the phone down!

On what basis? Because you tlk to him or because you 'make beautiful music together' :rotfl:

( sadly, I don't have a MIL but my ex's Mum was a bit like that - I was never good enough for her precious little boy and anything I did was open to criticism/suspicion)
