    Thanks for that - I did save the stuffing until last as I couldn't be bothered getting up to find some! LOL! I imagine it must be quicker to have a little production line going if doing more than one, do all the machine sewing first, then all the stuffing, then all the hand stitching. I probably took longer because I wanted it to be perfect, and that's not really the point is it?!
    Property buying/selling timeline - currently into week 21
    04/12/20: Both properties listed for sale
    11/01/21: Offers accepted on both sales & on our joint purchase
    25/01/21: Identity checks completed, solicitors instructed
    27/01/21: Purchase survey & valuation complete, mortgage offer received 
    05/02/21: Reduction agreed on partner's sale (under-valuation) & on purchase. Mortgage offer amended
    08/02/21: Buyers pack returned to solicitor - sellers packs already returned
    26/02/21: Partner's sale contract signed
    10/03/21: Purchase searches all back
    16/03/21: My sale contract signed
    28/03/21: Purchase enquiries satisfied, Title Report & contracts issued, contracts signed & returned
    11/05/21: Still waiting on final enquiry in the adjoining chain to be resolved. Consent to break the chain granted, instruction to move to exchange given.
    17/05/21: All parties agreed to June 3rd for completion
    27/05/21: Exchanged on my sale only
    28/05/21: ALL EXCHANGED!
    03/06/21: Completion

    My son hasn't let go of his all day! He has so many toys, and he chooses to play with a pair of socks LOL!
    Got some more socks in Primark today, so once I have some more stuffing I'm going to try and make a few more for Christmas gifts. Just depends on when this baby decides to arrive as that will put a stop to my crafting.

    Well this is my first post and first sock monkey:D Been lurking for a while now and really love this site:T Anyway here is a pic of my first ever attempt, I'm quite pleased with it, hope you like it:D

    And i'm glad you made a hat & scarf as she will need it later this week.

    I've been dressing mine today. One is a camouflage one for a marine whose off the afghanistan so he is having full body armour and weapon. :rotfl:

  • That is so cool, I love it! I really wish I could do something like that. Me and my partner have said we will make each other gifts this year as we are spending on our little boy only.
