I am having surgery in March (lots of time for monkey making! :D)
Anyway, I am thinking of making my surgeon a monkey with scrubs and a stethoscope to say thankyou (he has looked after me for 12 years now!) any ideas how I can sort it with scrubs etc - would the build a bear ones be suitable?

It shouldn't be too difficult to make a set - a simple T shaped top and pair of trousers with elastic around the waist. You can find some free patterns for dolls cloths - try the American girl patterns they are for 18" dolls and should fit OK - you might just have to cut them a little wider depending on how well you stuff your monkeys.

bottom right pattern has a little jacket and trousers you might be able to adapt.

some more on here - also cabbage patch clothes which might fit

thought she was a bit loney so made a boy pirate to go with the girl.

  • Cute pirates, nutty - I did smile with the boy one though - the position of the larger skull - or perhaps it is just my sense of humour.

I have been playing around and not quite socks, but keeping within the monkey theme.
