Awww I love all these monkeys especially the lollipop lady, thats brilliant:T:D I haven't made a sock monkey since last spring, should really make another one I think beore I forget how to do them;)

mine always come out looking deformed lol i really should practice more am going to attempt to machine sew one as ive handsewn my others i made

I always machine stitch mine, but be sure to use a stretch stitch otherwise you may find the seams will split when you stuff, or if the arms are pulled etc.

Mine are hand sewn, takes a bit longer but I dont have a machine. I do enjoy it though!

Chatty - they are brilliant. love the crossing one.

Pennib - I love your new one. I am determined this year to master knit and pearl so i can make better hats and scarves for mine.

LJM - i machine sew mine. straighter lines . although i can only machine in a straight line so i hand sew the hands, feet, ears and end of tail.

Sorry don't have a tutorial. It is ordinary sized monkeys just scaled down, be warned they are VERY fiddly!

I love all the sock monkeys and I'm now completely obsessed with making them (12 to date since Christmas).

I've just made 2 with tops but when I cut arm holes in the socks it looked very messy as anyone got any ideas as to how to make the tops for the monkeys without leaving a big messy hole in the arm

Oh my days.Almost got all of my first monkey's body done.I maybe shouldnt have gone for a pink body with a purple head.For obvious reasons.I am hoping to have a face on him tomorrow.
