Hi Sharon the safety eyes have shanks on them so they can't come off. You can buy them from ebay and they come in a few colours. I use light blue, dark blue, brown and black.
Cuddles the clown is fab :T:T:T and really unique
It's my Dad's birthday tomorrow so I've made up a sock monkey called Merv for him. I've wrapped him up with a nice bottle of red for a laugh

I actually found it easier than a monkey.
Would do it slightly differently the next time - always happens when you make something the first time.Jack of all trades ... Master of none

Made these today
Quite pleased with the cat, although I do like the laying down ones that others have made.0 -
I have spent the last few days [STRIKE]drooling over[/STRIKE] reading this thread from the beginning (skipping a few pages here and there) and WOWEEE what fabby sock animals there are here.
I have always wanted to make a sock monkey but thought they were too hard. I never came across any instructions that looked easy enough to follow but thanks to everyone's links I am inspired to have a try, I am also inspired by all the great work here and went out to buy some socks and gloves today to have a try, I brought plain ones this time round to have a try and will get the more decorated socks when I have got the practice in.
Just wanted to say a BIG thanks to everyone :Tlook after the pennies.....0 -
Hello just want to echo what fab creators u all are. And ask a question about the cat and dog ones please. Do u use one sock for the body and make legs out of the toe end as well as the cuff end? Then is there head the second sock sewn on? They look totally fab.
Thank u for your time
