Sock monkeys!

This monkey was made with those soft feel socks. Have to say he's very very cuddly:T Thought I would give him a little nose as well.

Thanks for the nice comments. The earring isn't great as it's made from a plastic food bag tie with felt wrapped round it and sewn together. Had to improvise as had no glue or anything and it looks a bit clumsy but it's all a learning curve.

Pennib - a parrot would be great, not sure I'm that talented though!:D

Love your soft monkey, he looks great and love his watch.

I've spent all afternoon making my second sock monkey. No photo yet 'cause it's not finished. Taking much more time and care with this one as I'm hoping to give it as a Christmas present. My back and neck ache now though! I don't have a desk so have been crouched over on my bed using a tray as a flat surface. I think I'll give it its arms, right ear and eyes later on

Good luck with your monkey, I get a sore neck when I'm doing mine as I hold them quite close to see better. (Bad eyes!).

I might make a start on my next one tonight using the brightest orange neon socks with coloured spots on I've ever seen. This pair of socks is destined to become techno monkey for OH's clubbing, laser mad friend. :eek: Then the one after that is a soldier monkey for my other nephew's birthday - should keep me going.

all you fantastic monkey makers. My 7 yr old boy wants a monkey making but he wants a really big one!! in his words - has any body made a big one any help would be appricated as i have never made one and he wants to help make to too.
