Ok, so i bought myself a sewing machine and i can't get it to sew :( i threaded the top needle fine, but i don't know what i'm doing with the bottom spool or if i even need it :( I start it and the needle does it's thing, but it doesn't stay in the material (can you tell i know nothing about this??) Anyway, can someone try and tell me where i'm going wrong? All i want to do is make a sock monkey :'(

  • Okay Jetty, the bottom spool is VITAL, it will not work otherwise. You need to look at how to thread this up and then slowly wind the top needle down and through into the bottom to catch the bottom thread and pull it up so you have both threads at the top. I am sure this differs a little for different machines but you should be able to watch a tutorial on it on here...

The good news is that your sewing machine isn't broken and you will be making a monkey in no time!

Hi well I heard back and as yet she has no patterns for sale However she said that when she has finished making the ones she has committed to make that she will give it some thought and get back to me. If she agrees to sell her patterns then I will post a link on this forum but as a seperate thread so you won't miss it. Fingers crossed every one. :) Perhaps more people need to email her on facebook to encourage her!! I did a search on facebook for who is pisces and it is a direct link to her I didn't have to send a friend request.
