  • Wrote a letter to WHSmith about the terrible quality of their squared paper, they sent me a refund on a giftcard.

I had to complain to Andrex as their packaging left a purple mark on my bathroom vinyl. Filled in a form and got a cheque to cover the full replacement of vinyl (around £200) and £30 of Andrex vouchers no questions asked. Excellent customer service!

I found two long hairs in my Patak's Korma, very off-putting. Didn't have dinner that night :(

However, I did drop them an email just to let them know and they are sending me £10 :)

GREAT SERVICE & GREAT RESPONSE. PATAK's have exceeded themselves.

  • I opened up a pack of Uncle ben's microwave rice the other day and it was all black and congealed - the smell put me off food for the whole evening!! I e-mailed and complained, they requested the package was sent back to them freepost (i pity the poor post person that opened it) and within 3 days got a 3 page letter of apology a long with £15 in vouchers

Great customer service I thought and I told them too!!
  • I complained to The Body Shop recently as i bought a tub of body butter from one of their Body Shop at Home parties and when it arrived it was only half full. They wanted me to send it back to them (at my own expense) and then they would send me a cheque to cover postage and the cost of the body butter so i could visit their store and purchase another one. I couldn't be bothered as it seemed such a hassle, you'd think i could just swap it at their shop but apparantly not. Pretty bad service i think.

I think the only way to get freebies to companies is to complain, i find that giving compliments doesnt seem to work, they just email back saying thanks we are glad you enjoyed our product!
Good things come to those who wait!
  • Or if you have a genuine complaint they send out coupons but whats the point if the supermarket refuses them. I got sent £20 from Gillette (proctor and gamble) and ASDA wouldnt take them but I spent £12 on Gillette couldnt buy that amount as would be over-run! Dont know what to do with the darn voucher now. lol

got a few quid vouchers off morrisons & sainsburys after complaining about quality of products purchased. Same with dairy lea as cheese triangles bought were quite runny, but they were stingy & sent only £2 compensation which didn't even cover cost of product!! do try complainign though if you have a genuine quality issue, you might get some compensation & always send original packaging with batch number on. Good luck:T
  • Today I received in the post a £20 frankie and bennys voucher due to a bout of food poisoning I received in one of their restaurants, so shall use that in a different branch lol!

Also have a £6 veet voucher that I received a few weeks ago, as I emailed them to express how I thought their in shower hair removal cream that I bought was rubbish, so they gave me a refund in voucher form.

In the past i also received £15 in pizza hut vouchers when a waitress spilt a pot of bbq dip all over my legs when i last visited there :)
