Great thread, started last night by emailing a few companies with compliments...

Soap and Glory - they assumed I was a blogger at first until i corrected them, but they said sorry no samples anyway.

Molton Brown said they don't do samples, but they give freebies with every purchase.

L'Occitane - sending some samples! :T

Cathedral city compliment - just said thanks, was hoping for a voucher...

Vosene not heard back yet

McDonalds compliment, not heard back yet.

I emailed molton brown asking for some samples and they responded today saying they had put some in the post. I'll let you know what they send me when it arrives.

Emailed molton brown and managed to get 2 free sample bottles. Didn't get a reply email but got samples in the post. If you do this remember to put your address on! :j

ive been lurking around here for years but only decided to register yesterday.

ive had lots of emails of promised vouchers/samples and will update as i receive them.

for now

5X 30p off koko dairy free vouchers, messaged explaining my daughter seems to be having issues with dairy items and that id like to try alternatives.

£2 off butchers classic cat food for a compliment and just asking. (however on the letter i got with it it says they dont usually send out vouchers so if you try dont assume you will get a voucher. all seems to depend on who you get at the other end)

£6 mccains voucher on its way, for a complaint about discoloured and really manky chips.

£5 asda evoucher because their washing powder ruined some of DD1 clothes (wasnt too impresed by this result but still)

i have read every single page of this thread and it seems that it all depends who you get at the other side. Some people maybe dont realise they can give them out or maybe they just cant be bothered (surely you know the types?) but it seems to vary alot, even within the people who say yes it depends how many or what amount they send out.

the main one that stands out is options hot chocolate, some people been told no straight out, some people received 2 tubs and some people receive 1-2 sachets.
