Can somebody please help me? I wouldn't mind a reply (or replies!) via PM as I don't want to clutter up this thread
I need to make a genuine complaint to a well-known shoe company (that's known for comfort) regarding some shoes that me and my 2 aunts bought. I think there's a serious design flaw in them as both my aunts and myself have twisted our ankles numerous times whilst wearing them, and we only made the connection recently. It's not like they're classed as 'heels' either. After falling over and twisting my ankle twice yesterday, I thought it might be worth complaining.
Also, even if it happens to rain just a little bit, it's very easy to slip on them!! I've never had this problem with rubber soles before.
I'm not sure how I should word this complaint as I don't want to end up sounding silly! Can anyone help/advise me on what to do??
Many thanks in advanceOS Weight Loss Challenge... 3.5/100 -
I often contact companies just to say thankyou for good service,I used to work in retail and I know how good we felt when someone said thanks instead of moaning.Having read this thread I now see my compliments may have been viewed rather differently than I intended.
Still well done folks.:)0 -

Yorkshire Tea - sample/voucher request - 10 teabags & 30p voucher

Cafe Direct - sample/voucher request - huge envelope full of samples!
Clipper - sample/voucher request - promise of samples
Kettle chips - compliment - promise of coupons

Hi all!
Sounds like you're all doing great with freebies
I placed a genuine complaint with TM Lewin earlier today after receiving appalling service in one of their branches (or lack of service should I say) and I got an email about 10mins later saying sorry and that they wanted to send me a free shirt so would I like to pick one and tell them the size!! Wow! I emailed them back with the details of a shirt that has an RRP of £90 and got an 'order confirmation' email about 5mins later stating what I was getting. Their customer service department is fab, cannot fault them! :T0 -

I have just found this thread and would like to add a couple of very positive experiences I had a couple of years ago.
I emailed Green and Blacks chocolate with a genuine query....I told them it was my birthday coming up and was having a tea party and asked them the best way to melt their chocolate to make cakes. They sent me a detailed and lovely reply and a few days later a package arrived with 3 full sized bars in tied with G&B ribbon to enjoy on my birthday. I was very impressed.
I emailed Starbucks with a genuine complaint about cleanliness of their toilets. I received an email acknowledging and a few days later a detailed apology letter and a gift card. When I took the card too the shop it was for £20....very impressed and great CS

After reading this thread a few weeks ago I decided to get back to writing to companies as I had previously had some success with it when I was younger and love to write anyway so makes a change from the rejected stories. Now I feel sick, as the MD of one of the companies I wrote to is sending a film crew to my house to have an interview with me for their staff website and to send to their HO in Asia . I hate being on film or having my picture taken so probably wouldn't have agreed to it if they had told me before this evening.BCSC Member No 55 - Lightbulb Moment 07/03/07

I complained to Pizza hut that I didn't receive one of their "don't open me" envelopes, they sent me 5 the next day
I also complained to papa johns about the taste of their garlic sauce for pizza's (nowhere near as nice as dominos or pizza hut) and I am now an official pizza tester for my local branch (1 free pizza a month for their specials!)
Complained to muller after finding mould in 1 tub (photographed - matching the dates and codes etc on the lid with the the box
Complimented dominoes and got £50 of free pizza (they supplied 30 pizzas for my works party at a discount price after our caterers had a fire in the kitchen)
Complained to twickenham stadium management when one of their hospitality boxes had damp and mould (photographed) and then shown the management which one and where (they paid for travel costs) and I got free tickets to each 6 nations and autumn internationals games held at the stadium in 2011- to be fair I expect the hospitality boxes to be spotless when paying £1000 for it (5 friends and myself clubbed together)
